  • Brand NEW Design - LEE100 Holder
  • Secure locking knob
  • Filter guide blocks

Description

The new LEE100 Filter Holder – designed for photographers by photographers. You spoke and Lee listened. The risk of the Filter holder accidentally falling off has long been a concern for the Lee FK Holder, with the redesigned lock dial this holder will always stay safe and secure. After you place the holder on the adapter ring just rotate the large nodule on the dial up, this will lock the Filter Holder to the adapter ring but will not restrict rotational movement. This means you can confidently angle your Graduated ND filter without worrying about knocking the filter holder off the adapter ring. Rotate the small nodule on the dial up and the LEE100 Filter Holder will lock itself in position making it easier to insert filters into the Holder while its attached to the lens. This also gives you the ability to adjust where the grad line falls within the frame without fear of the holder falling off or having to recompose your shot. Three modular filter guide blocks with guide block covers are included with LEE100 Holder. Each of the three guide blocks, to hold one, two or three filters, are designed to reduce vignetting with their tapered profile. No more screwdriver needed, with a guide block removal tool you can quickly and easily remove the guide block cover and switch out the modular filter guide block. Just use the pointed end of the tool to remove the guide block cover and the flat end to pop the guide block out. Then just snap in place the guide block you wish to use and replace the guide block cover. The LEE100 Filter Holder is made of glass filled nylon, making it lightweight and extremely rugged. It’s elegant and sleek design has improved aesthetics and promotes ergonomic handling. Lee Filters had its many loyal followers in mind and made sure that the LEE100 Holder is compatible with all current Lee Filters Adapters and 100mm Filters. You can upgrade your Lee Filter Holder without having to buy all new Adapters.

  • Much lighter
The new filter holder is much lighter and is better designed for active use and security. Fits snugly and locks for peace of mind and frequent use without worry.

  • Lee100 Filter Holder System is built well, performs well, and cust service is spot on!
So, I give LEE five stars for the quality of products but, more importantly, for their immediate and no-questions asked approach to customer service. The kit has three of the same sized rails while only having one of the single rails. Not a common quality control mistake but, it happened to me. How Lee responded warrants SIX STARS as they sent the product immediately with an entirely new kit. The customer service agent was quick and efficient, making this a pain free process. The quality of the filters is not in question here but, they are quite possibly the best filters I have ever used. The clarity is somewhat due to the quality of the holder in question, leaving no light leaks and keeping the expensive filters tightly in place without worry of them slipping out. The downside to quality has always been the cost - this is a decision, not a reason to give less than five stars. The quality is worth the price. ... show more

  • The old version is better
The old LEE100 holders were much nicer. My old boss had that system. Sturdier build and better filter holder. The locking mechanism for the ring is a nice addition, but not at the cost of everything else. On top of that, my CPL slides through the holder (see picture). I had centered the CPL, and the picture is about 20 seconds later. After a minute or two it would have completely fallen out if I wasn’t ready for it. The ND in the picture stayed there, but that is a cheap resin one, where the heavier glass ones (like the CPL) may have slipped as well. Before anyone says just turn it, I also have GNDs so orientation is important. If I can’t set this and let it run a time-lapse or something without worrying about the filters falling, the whole thing is useless to me. I’m going to shop around for a better holder, but may have to sadly ruin my filters with some tape if I can’t get a replacement holder that works quickly. Really disappoint by the way Lee clearly focused on cost of materials over quality control here, especially with how nice the model 1 was. ... show more

  • Not backwards compatible.
I have the original holder with the Front Thread Adapter Ring (LEFARPFK105). There is no accommodation for this adapter ring on the new filter holder. You will either need to purchase a new adapter ring and a new polarizer or drill holes in the filter guides to accept the screws for the original adapter ring. It looks like Lee has decided not to offer an adapter ring for mounting of their original LEE Filters 105mm Circular Polarizer Filter. Maybe they just want everyone to buy a new LEE Filters 105mm Landscape Circular Polarizer Filter. That won’t be me, if I can’t modify the new holder I’ll just go back to the original holder. Update: I modded the holder to accept the front thread adapter ring I used on my original holder. It is slightly farther away from the lens than when used on the original holder. I don’t know yet if this will have any negative effect. The last photo with the original filter holders added shows how much it’s further away with my mod. ... show more
