I returned my Elgato $200 key light and purchased two of these for $40 It's all plastic and super light, but perfect for where I placed them. I like that is can be clipped on or stand on a tripod. Just be careful with the ball head....The first one I got cannot connect to the pod...and I have to return and got another one which works perfectly..... Overall....No problem with the light and it is very worth of the money.

    • Basic lights have 3 levels of brightness, this one has 10!!!
1- right on the controller you have 3 types of light. (1000k-3000k-5000k warmness) 2- i cant get over the option of brighten my light in 10 different levels, i bought others that have 3 levels, and they work good, but, either your forehead is shinning too much and have to use shades or you need to get it closer because its too dim. 3 - is wired with usb and not a bulky block that wont let you connect anything on the next power outlet. (So, no "low battery" or no battery problems). 4 - so much options to set it up, it has a small tripod, a clamp, standard screw that fits in any other stand you would like to use, not heavy at all and looks like it could fall a dozen times without breaking. Would not recommend to drop it, but accidents happen. ( Sunpak - flexible tripod confirmed fit). ... show more

I like to use it on the little tripod/stand, cause it allows me to find the perfect angle. I can easily connect it using the USB port of my computer.
