Just needed something small, lightweight and inexpensive to light up an event. These little lights did just that. I would not recommend for big events unless you bought a lot of them but the four we purchased did just fine. Set and forget.

I currently have 1 proline thintri 38 light so, I had that to compare these lights to. The transitions, brightness ON the lights were decent for home use. The casing is plastic so, they are lite weight but, be careful. The remote works great! On one of the two lights, the red did not work. (not necessarily a game breaker). Yee sent me a replacement light which was awesome and much brighther and smoother. This light will satisfy my professional needs (being a pro DJ). The lights are set up for DMX controller so, that is a major plus. In my line of work (dj,musician), I need something that will handle the work load. I think Yee's higher end lights will kick but for pro's. The lower ends will be fine for a single flood at home or a simple home party/barbeque. Have fun!!! ... show more

So I ordered these lights and they arrived pretty fast with Amazon. They may look small, but they are MIGHTY. These lights each have 9 “cells” and each cell has 4 LED’s—R-G-B-W, so they are really bright. They come with adjustable stands and I’m guessing could easily be mounted to a light truss if needed. The included remote handles most all functions… You can choose from: ALL ON- Basically all the RGBW Leds are on. FADE- One color fades up, then fades out, then the next color fades in, and then out… etc JUMP basically changes color without any fades..just cycles thru all the 14 colors PULSE flashes each color twice, then flashes the next color twice… and so on STROBE does exactly what you’d think. You can control the strobe speed via the remote as well SOUND makes the light react with the sound around it. Will flash for louder music parts and stay dark for softer parts. AUTO was my favorite in that it cycles thru all the functions. These lights are great for their intention, to add a bit of color and spice to your parties…BUT, they are also fully controllable via DMX. It was easy to connect to my controller, and all of the functions of the remote can be managed via the well documented DMX instructions. And of course, you can also go ‘full manual’ via DMX as well, with individual control over strobe speed, RGBW color levels and brightness. Although I didn’t try it, it appears you can also set the lights to always power up in a certain mode, so every time they turn on, they go to your default settings automatically. I’ve been running these lights for a few hours and they barely warm to the touch. I’m very amazed both by their function and their brightness. Pretty amazing!     • Surprisingly versatile little light
These lights are very cool. They are surprisingly bright for the cost and have many options thanks to the remote. The features I was looking for was the strobe light and having DMX ports. The remote is what I tested and was surprised with how easy it was to control the different options. One thing that I didn’t realize was part of these lights was the sound activated feature. Had a blast playing with that! I am looking forward to using these lights for an upcoming theater production. Using DMX to control these lights through the computer. One thing I like and dislike is that the power cords are detachable and longer than most other lights. Detachable is great so if the cord breaks, you can just replace the cord and not the entire fixture. One thing I dislike is that the wording in the graphics about the cord say power linking. My understanding of power linking is power in and power out. So you can daisy chain fixtures from one another without running many extension cords. This only has power in.     • Bright, lightweight and an impressive selection of preset colors.
Clever marketing to package 2 of these fixtures to sell for about 1 of what competing equipment costs. But the RGBW FULL COLORS might catch your eye. Each LED can produce any possible color as well as white and they produce an even wash of color no matter what color they are reproducing. Most impressive are the selection of colors that are built in. Besides the standard RBGW variations are some very useful colors. Colors like a blush that make light skin tones and food look great by themselves. Colors like a lavender that combined with a second fixture of blush create dimensions and drama when focused together on an object or person. There are some others too; a light green and a warm emerald, etc. 14 presets that can be controlled via the remote, or the menu driven buttons on the back of the fixture. You can also dial up any color using RGB values as well. I will come back to add my review of the DMX capabilities and some pictures but I wanted get news of the this great addition for party DJ’s and the special event crowd. Depending on how that do on DMX, they could be a great choice for a small club situation too. I’ll need to write my own fixture profile for DMX and thats some trial and error for me but I’ll include the profile with my update. ALSO just read some other reviews and I'll note that while the fixture does have daisy chain for DMX connection. there are no daisy chain possibilities for the AC connectors.
