Color me surprised, but I guess I didn't have much faith in finding heavy duty pieces of furniture like this on Amazon, especially when the pictures look so good. I am very impressed and happy that I was able to get this mirror, and for the price it's a really good deal. First off, the mirror came very well packaged; it had a layer of both styrofoam AND an entire wooden panel protecting the front of the mirror, and all you need to do is hang it up and plug it in. I have it on my floor right now, and it's sturdy and perfect as a full length mirror. It is really heavy, so I wouldn't lean it anywhere it can slip bc it can definitely damage a wooden floor, and it definitely needs a lot of support to hang on the wall. Quality wise it's really impressive; the light shines through the mirror like magic - it's clear and bright, can be dimmed, and switched b/t colors, and the lighting setting saves when it's turned off. The edges of the mirror are sturdy and well defined, perfectly cut out, and as long as I don't drop anything on them or place it on anything that chips it, they look gorgeous. I haven't hung it up yet, but I love that there is a long hook on each side of the mirror for horizontal or vertical hanging; it comes with hardware and you can wire it into the wall as well which is so nice. My one detraction is that the blue control lights are on even when the mirror is turned off; this isn't usually a problem, but I have it in my bedroom so the blue light is actually quite bright, so it can be distracting if you're sensitive to lights. Even so, I'm really happy with this mirror and the colors of light have been great for makeup, trying on clothes, etc. Great purchase.

We've always wanted to add a backlit mirror to our home somewhere but we just moved into a new house a few years ago - everything was brand new and I didn't want to remove new mirrors to simply install another one. When I came across this particular mirror I was happy to see the large size for the price and decided to give it a try. It arrived quickly and shipped in a pretty heavy duty package (the inside is lined with a wood panel to protect the mirror against breakage). I was impressed with the installation process - it comes with a metal bracket that's probably about 14" long or so that you mount to your wall with 4 screws (it does come with plastic wall anchors and screws). I used the included components but I also opted to drill one more hole in the mounting plate so I could screw it directly into a stud. The total weight is lighter than I would have imagined for a mirror this size that's lighted (and heated!), but I still felt more comfortable adding a screw to a stud given the fact it's glass. Love the built in lighting - you can select from different color temperatures (ie, warm white, cool white, etc). You can also adjust the brightness level. The heat feature is ideal for a bathroom location as it will keep it from fogging over, but in our entryway it will not be used. The only thing that's a bit disappointing is how the cord comes off the rear of the unit. I think in a bathroom or new construction application you would put the outlet right behind the mirror (or even cut off the plug and hardwire to a switch... BTW the instructions show you how to do this while at the same time saying you void the warranty if you do cut it off). Since I hung it on an existing wall I dropped the cord down below. You can see it in the pic - perhaps one day if I get ambitious I'll take the mirror off the way and run an outlet up behind it. :)

This mirror is really pretty! It was super easy to install and I did it myself in under 10 minutes. The light is super bright so it can serve as the lamp in your room if needed. I absolutely love it and would get it again and again!!!
