This tray suits the major reason I purchased it. I teach private instruction online and often am unable to find a spot to teach my lessons or able to outside in inclement weather. The tray is too low to do this. However, with my steering wheel I can attach it on top and it is the perfect level to conduct class. I have a Hyundai 2012 Tucson. The depth of the tray was disappointing. I have a notebook and it does not fit inside the space, but it does rest on the tray well. I also do not need to turn my steering wheel, whether mounting top or bottom. In order to eat, the cup spot will only hold a child's size cup. The tray does not lay flat either. It tilts up but is sturdy when leaned on. It is great to eat on. I love the slot for my kindle or phone. I do not like either straight up, but the devices rest well against the steering wheel. The seat in my SUV goes back a good distance. I am 5' 2" and slightly overweight. I have enough room to be comfortable. If a seat does not go back far enough, the space between a taller and heavier person and tray may be tight. Overall, the tray will meet my needs. I will not be using it regularly, only when out (i.e., appointments, traveling) so I won't have to cancel classes and lose pay. I will definitely use it for snacks and meals on the road. ... show more

I'm a single guy so I'm always grabbing food on the go. Eating in the car can often tims be messy and I hate finding lettuce and whatnot under the seat when it's detailing time. This little thing worked like a charm and as intended. I do with it was a little more sturdy and not hollow but I'm sure they tested all designs before production. It goes on - I eat, it catches my mess - I remove it and keep on keeping on. Fits under the car seat or in the pouch on the back of the passenger side seat. By itself, it's a nice item. Heavy-duty plastic, slightly-textured to help prevent sliding. One side is more indented with the cup-holder, while the back side is pretty-flat for writing (which I wish wasn't textured). It turns out it doesn't fit the 2017 Honda CRV steering wheels; the steering wheels are a little too fat for the table to fit properly, and the steering wheel leather has gotten slightly damaged in the process. I'm still keeping it to use on my lap, and it has been helpful in that way. In my CRV, it just fits for storage between the center console and the front passenger seat. ... show more

Yeah, I almost came here to say this is a pile of poop. Until I saw a video of a guy aggresively demonstrate the way to put it on. Props to the dude and his wife for posting a rather funny but very informative video. (Randall McCormick) Mine didnt snap as easy, but I made it work. I take lunch breaks and eat in my car often. Serves it purpose. I can eat soup in my car instead of the small lunchroom in my place of work. Love it! I also stand my phone up on it to watch shows while I eat. The cup holder dent is small but not something I really use anyway.

Great product! Works as I wanted but it’s kinda small but for the price it meets all my expectations & if you get this for a Tesla or anything with a steering wheel made of leather then be sure to sand the steering wheel contact points they are rough.
