I usually carry a small crossbody. But I changed jobs in my company and found I needed a bag in which I could carry a 5x7 day planner and a paperback book along with my purse contents. I wear a lot of navy, and this bag was the right size. It does hold what I need. It’s attractive and wasn’t too expensive for leather (which it is). It has several interesting pink stains on it that will not come off (three different ones are shown). Depending on what is in the bag, for the most part, it will not sit up. Here, it is slouching, but that’s not even normal. I have to figure out which way it is leaning and lean it against the wall or desk that direction to keep it upright. I really wish the handles were about 4” longer in both sides to make it easy to carry on the shoulder. They are too long to use as a handle and too short to use as a shoulder strap. That is very frustrating. It’s doing the job, so I didn’t send it back, but I will keep looking for something that works better for me.

This is very pretty but the color is more irregular than I would like. I kept it but would probably not have purchased it if I had seen the color first. It is nice for the money but not a true solid navy leather.

I unpacked this to find 2 spots where there is no color. I'm unsure if it peeled off in transit or if it's just a bad dye job. Either way, I'm somewhat hesitant about using this blue purse with the nautical outfit, which includes a pair of white sailor pants, that it was specifically purchased to match. The dye job looks like it's cheap and will either peel off or transfer color everywhere. I definitely could have found better quality for the same price at Walmart. However, I had a difficult time finding this color. Aside from being scared to use it, lol, it's pretty much the exact size and color I was looking for. It really is soft! I'll have to see how long it actually lasts and whether or not the color bleeds to fairly update this review. Meanwhile, you might just want to go look at Walmart first.

The slip pockets inside the bag are not deep enough to hold a cell phone and zip the bag closed. The outer zip pocket is not wide enough to hold a phone in a case. These problems cause a cell phone to fall flat against the bottom of the bag, distort its shape, and make it awkward to carry for its size. Could easily be fixed if the slip pockets were deeper, or lower down the wall of the bag. Otherwise, I like the bag and the distressed color.
