If there's one thing I hate, it's wimpy flimsy D-rings, leather, chain, fasteners, etc that break at the slightest hint of stress. This YAEHOCO collar has thicker D-rings than you commonly see at this price range, and the chain on the lead is heavier than you usually see. The links are not welded, but only bent into ovals. The leather is pretty good quality, and the furry lining (probably acrylic) is soft enough and not itchy. The width of the collar is good; not quite posture, but also a lot wider than a simple fashion accessory. This is functional, and it's obvious to any observers. So be aware of where you wear this and the kind of attention it will attract. The buckle is also pretty easy and the oval-shaped punch-outs in the leather make it easy to find the right buckle hole, but also remove it in a hurry if you need to. There is a small hole in the buckle pin for a padlock, if that fits your style. Size-wise it fit me comfortably at my neck size, which is between a 15.5" and 16" shirt collar. At that size, the furry padded insert just overlaps by the tiniest bit. Any smaller neck and the padding will overlap more and could impact the aesthetic and comfort. I got this choker to use as a decor piece in a more playful section of my library. The materials are high quality and the leather and fur feel soft. The adjustable strap works well for different placements if you want to hang it or display it in a creative way. It would be a great item for someone who wanted to use it for its intention too.
