    • Attractive, But Definitely Has Its Faults
The 7 ounce salt container is attractive, no doubt. One would expect the silicone seal to keep salt fresh and moisture-free; however, even while using two desiccant packs in the salt keeper, the salt still clumps. Le Creuset is famous for their fine French-made items, but these salt keepers are made in Asia, not in France, a fact not clearly articulated in the item description. There are quality issues aside from the lack of an adequate seal. The wooden tops do not sit on the ceramic part of the salt keeper well. The lids are not centered on many of the canisters giving an awkward appearance and feel to the items. Two-and-a-half stars for these. ... show more

    • Cool in theory, but salt clumps in humid climate. Still works great.
this thing is pretty sharp looking, and it has a nice silicone ring on the lid. It is supposedly for salt. In my humid climate the salt tends to clump, so maybe not the best idea. I will have to think up another use for it.
