Love the quality of Le Creuset stoneware and been looking for a vessel for my BBQ rub, so this is perfect. It fits a 16 oz. batch of my homemade BBQ all-purpose rub and the lid closes air-tight. This canister has some weight to it, but is not overly heavy. It’s well-constructed and looks phenomenal in my coastal kitchen environment (next to some of my other Caribbean-colored Le Creuset pieces). Although this one is Sea Salt, (Caribbean wasn’t available), I actually like it better so everything isn’t so matchy-matchy — they complement each other very well! This would make a great gift for any culinary enthusiast, great value for the $ and it’s easy to clean (dishwasher safe, but not the lid). The lid is hand wash only.     • Cool in theory, but salt clumps in humid climate. Still works great.
this thing is pretty sharp looking, and it has a nice silicone ring on the lid. It is supposedly for salt. In my humid climate the salt tends to clump, so maybe not the best idea. I will have to think up another use for it.
