I am very picky when it comes to pens, don't ask why because I don't know. This little pen, feels good when writing and writes pretty good. Only bad thing I can say about it, is that you have to pay attention when using it, and make sure you get the ink color or pencil that you want.

This looks nice, feels nice, and (unlike other all in ones I looked at) it is easy to find refills. The only issue I have with it is the plunge (or clicker) sticks out quite far. I am concerned it will be broken off if I carry it in the pen holder in my backpack or notebook. If that were a more normal length this would get a 5/5

This works like a much chunky four-color ballpoint pen, but looks like a normal pen. It's fun to use, especially when people see you write in a different color. I gave it four stars for easy to use because of the learning curve, and there is no color selection indicator. When you are getting used to it, it is easy to have the wrong color selected. There is no way to tell which color is active until you write. A small spot of paint on the ballpoint collar would be a huge help. After playing with it for a while, users will find that a quick wrist flick of the pen between upright and about 45° will reset the internal mechanism between colors so that you get the color you expect.

I loved having 3 different pen colors at my fingertips and the pencil was a nice addition, but the pencil never really worked well for me. The lead either broke as soon as I started writing or it was pushed back into the device. Maybe I just have a heavy hand. As for the pen colors, all was great until I noticed that the red cartridge was no longer actuating when I wanted to use it. The black and blue cartridges worked fine. I found out the red cartridge was ‘jumping’ out of is holder inside the pen and ended up floating around. The black and blue cartridges themselves have been more reliable than the red or the pencil. Overall, it’s a great adaptation of the old multicolored option pens as it’s much thinner and very sleek. I would avoid one of these though if you’re looking for a consistently reliable writing device. Just carry 2 or 3 pens/pencils and call it good.
