Be aware that if you get the tripod with a single tube you will need to keep the tube nearly vertical, or add weight, tape, or clamp to prevent it from tipping over. Functionally it works as advertised. I will need more time to tell how good it illuminates plants for growth. If you buy a double or triple it might balance out weight-wise if you space things right, I suspect, or buy the clamp if you can use it. ... show more

First off- It was VERY REASONABLY PRICED and very worth the $. The timer works GREAT and I'm very pleased with the brightness options. As for those who stated that it tends to fall over when the LED band is fully horizontal, this is true; however, you can change the center of gravity slightly by bending in the opposite direction a little. I’ve got nowhere to clip to anything. Only thing I’m not fond of is how easily it tips. But My apartment doesn’t get much light so this suits my needs.
