These are not 18" in length. The package (see pic) says 16", but I bought 8 of them and they actually vary in length from 16.5" to 17.5". For my purposes (multiple, separate windows) it really doesn't matter that much, but if precision is important for your project (you're lining them all up together on one rod for a bay window, for instance), be aware.
