I'm sewing curtains for nine windows & figured out I don't have enough. A friend suggested these because they look similar to the fabric I'm using. These are not true black out curtains, & that didn't matter to me. I like to see the light filtered through the trees dappling my pretty curtains as I wake up. They are crazy soft, and sturdily made. They are the right size for my window--I thought they'd be long, but they are fine. They block enough light for me to sleep in on Sundays & they are affordable & nice looking. Not the fawn cotton velvet I bought a roll of, but also incredibly affordable when compared to the curtains I'm making. Also they provide you with a top bar & narrow bottom bar which I used, the wider hem is at the bottom & I don't really see it.

These are really nice curtains. The color was beautiful and just what I expected. The material is heavy and high quality. There is a sheen, but very subtle and the material is mostly matte. It makes it look really high end and elegant compared to some velvet that has high sheen to it. It blocks the light really well too, I would say they are blackout.

These velvet curtains completely transformed my bedroom! The 75% light blocking is perfect—dark enough for quality sleep but not pitch black. Zero TV glare during the day, and complete privacy at night. The thermal insulation really works. I've noticed a genuine difference in my energy bills. My room stays cooler in summer and warmer in winter without the AC or heat running constantly. The luxury look is no exaggeration. The rich velvet texture and elegant drape make my windows look expensive and sophisticated. These are so nice and high-end looking! The velvet is smooth and soft and they are heavy! I like these drapes so much that I bout 5 pairs of the slate blue and 2 pairs of the navy blue! The blackout is total. Easy to put up.

These are great. Not 100% blackout, but they do a pretty good job for being so thin. Love the color and the velvet feel. Now I understand that to be a black out it needs to be double panel, which these are not. Great if you don’t need full black out but want something mostly black out and pretty. I also feel like it helps keep out the heat from the sun.
