I have always have a love/hate relationship with irons. But love hybrids. Most of the major brands don't go below a 6 hybrid. I ordered a 8 hybrid to try it out and loved it. I am going to order two more. Great value and the club well made and very stylish, and I love purple.

This review is for the Lazrus Ladies 6 (29 degree) Hybrid. The club head has a very nice looking black and purple color combination. The shaft is a Lazrus L-flex 55 gram. The grip is a Lazrus tour velvet style and feels really nice in the hands. Swing weight feels really good (appropriate) and it's balanced well to where you can feel the head in the swing. My wife is just starting the game of golf and we sometimes go to the par-3 course to get practice. What I've noticed is that she has more difficulty with the irons. I figured a good middle hybrid would be perfect for her with the shorter distances as it's easier to get more distance out of. She hasn't tried the club yet but I sure did and it feels great. I have a much faster swing speed than she does but the club felt great and I was middle-facing balls into the net with ease. The head size is very generous but not too big and the feel from center (and even off-center) hits are very satisfying. I didn't have the launch monitor set up but I can almost guarantee I was hitting them further than my 6 iron, which I typically hit around 180 yards. I'll get her to hit this thing soon when we go back to the par-3 course, but it gets a thumbs up from me for the dozen or so shots I hit with it. Overall, great hybrid. It would have been nice had it come with a headcover. The price point is solid but a headcover would definitely sweeten the deal to keep the head from getting scratched up. I bought LAZRUS hybrid 9 a couple of days ago, expecting more distance than my iron club #9, after reading many good reviews and used it several times, but it flies much less than my Pitching wedge. I ordered this hybrid for my significant other to fill a need between irons and woods. The club has a beautiful purple and black finish. The shaft is graphite and quite flexible. I have some Lazrus hybrids in my bag and like them. Their clubs are well made and easy to hit. I wish it came with a head cover, but a nice sock works well. ... show more

    • Great way to add a bit of distance to your shot
the Lazrus 7 iron hybrid club was a great bargain! I normally hit about 110 yd with my current 7 iron and got a little more distance with this hybrid club and a more consistent solid hit than with the traditional iron club with the hybrid face. It also had a solid sound off the face which was impressive b/c I was expecting a more high-pitched “twinging” sound, thinking since it’s a cheaper brand but was pleasantly surprised that the club seemed well-made. I’ve seen this same club for $79 at the lazrus website so definitely appreciated the discounted rate through amazon but the downside is that I think the club is not at the typical loft degrees as most 7 hybrid clubs are (31-34 degrees) as it’s not written on the club and the description said it was only 18 degrees loft which is kind of hard to believe since I was getting decent height on the ball. Makes me think the manufacturer isn’t legit thus the cheaper price ... show more
