I typically wear silver jewelry, but I've recently been wanting to get into wearing more gold, so I though this set of three layering necklaces would be a great place to start. I love the variety between the chains - you have a simple box chain with a single pearl, a nice medium-weight double twist chain, and a beautiful herringbone necklace to complete the trio. They each feel like good quality pieces, even on their own, they would make perfect daily-wear accessories. But even paired together, they are a classy, timeless collection that is both understated and eye-catching at the same time. If you're like me, you don't have to worry about matching or coordinating your layered necklaces with a set like this. All the thinking is done for you, the chains coordinate perfectly with one-another, with the graduating chain weights aligning with the graduating lengths. The largest, thickest chain (herringbone) is the shortest; the medium weight chain (double twist) is next; and the thinner chain (box chain) is the longest. Perfect size/weight distribution to make a purposefully curated look quick, easy, and simple!

This layered gold necklace set is beautiful and trendy. The pendants are delicate, the gold plating looks high-quality, and it’s perfect for layering or gifting.

These three styles of chain are a good contrast to one another and create a nice mix of textures for layering. I particularly like the rope chain (middle length), although the fine box chain with the faux pearl is pretty and delicate as well. The varying lengths are good, and each necklace has a 2” extender, allowing for adjustment in individual length as well as contrast in the layers. What doesn’t work for me here is the difference in gold tones. For the layering to look nice, the necklaces would ideally match in color. These… don’t. The shortest necklace in particular has a more brassy look rather than a gold finish, and the width of that chain causes the difference to stand out rather more than I feel comfortable wearing. It doesn’t have the elegance of well-chosen layered necklaces, and I feel like it screams “fake” because it’s too obvious. I’m not sure if it comes across in the pictures as much as it does in person, but I hope you can see what I mean. If I can find an alternate chain to replace the shortest necklace in this set, I would still wear the other two, but I won’t be wearing the set as it is.

Delicate look! These three individual necklaces are lovely together. They all fasten separately; unlike some multi-strands, they are not joined. Though it’s a little fussy to fasten these three times, what time you lose on doing so is made up for by not having to pick apart a large tangle. This trio looks very pretty on the neck, very delicate and dainty. They noticeably shine. A very sweet and young look. Even the CZ is believable, due to its small size. On the flip side, I cannot wear them for long as my neck starts feeling irritated by whatever metal these are composed of. I wear gold every day and do not have this issue, but other metals tend to be itchy and uncomfortable. So if you too experience that, just know that you could feel the same thing when wearing these. One other factor I’d like to mention is that these may not fit you if you have a large neck. They aren’t very much longer than chokers. Please pay attention to the stated length to make sure these will work for you. That being said, they really are very pretty and can visually pass for gold; they do not look cheap.

I like the chain with the single cubic zirconia the best. It is a nice length and looks like the highest quality of the three chains. The other two chains are the same length, making them difficult for achieving the layered look, especially since they are both choker length, at least on an adult. I wore 1 on the longest loop and the other on the shortest, and they were still very close. The shorter two necklaces are also very sparkly, which gives them more of a costume jewelry look, and they may be better suited for older kids or tweens.
