Build quality For a sub $100 rake, this isn't bad at all and is about the quality I would expect in this price range. The head is a good weight ~5lbs and has closed "rungs". The handle and connector is reasonably good for household or occasional use. All in all I am pleased with the quality Use I couldn't get this to "work" at first when I thought I could just throw soil on the ground and use it -- In reality you really need to mow the grass low and mix soil with sand and have it fairly dry to start with, Then the rake does a good job at letting you push the material into place. All in all work goes pretty quick and the long width makes it easy to level out large areas. Final thoughts: This is a good lawn rake that I recommend.

However, a word of caution: it's quite Heavy and will give you a workout if you use it for extended periods. Although spreading can technically be done with a regular rake, this tool excels in achieving a more even spread, leaving behind no small lines like a traditional rake might. Despite the slightly higher price tag, I consider it a valuable investment, especially if you have a sizable area to level. The precision and efficiency it offers make it well worth the cost for anyone dealing with extensive landscaping projects.

The quality is poor as I couldnt connect the handle attachment to the rake. Both attachments points were the same width and the handle attachment should have been slimmer so I can bolt on both pieces together. The quality of the welds were terrible too!

We bought a new house, and the lawn has several pocks and dips. Putting sand and soil and trying to rake it smooth only went so far. When we used this leveling rake, all it took was a few passes and everything was evenly distributed and level. Nice and heavy, the rake part is iron and really glides over the grass.

If you want to level out piles of dirt,this item does not work as easily as shown in video. The best way to achieve the best results is to use a regular steel rake, with flat side facing down. It was a waste of money. I RECOMMEND DO NOT BUY THIS.
