I have a lot of rocks under my turf; Thought it may be a problem, but the spikes are thin enough to slide off the side of rocks, but strong enough not to break. It's a pretty slow workout however. Not realistic to mow with them on. That's kind of a laugher! Strapping system is good.

Ok so, used this product and while the idea of creating a permeable soil made me feel good, the fact that I was actually compacting the soil more than aerating it bothered me a bit. I like to think I'm in pretty good shape and it took me roughly 2 hours to do about .33 of an acre. Certain areas that were very dry, I tried to agitate the ground more than others, and my backyard has a like 35°- 40° Incline on the far side for irrigation which was horrible when using these shoes on that hill. Needless to say after it all, it was an experience I'm going to avoid next time and just rent the machine from home depot for 4 hours. ... show more

These are pretty cool but it's a lot of work if you have a decent size yard. The people who are saying that the straps are not long enough are not putting them on correctly. My biggest complaint is the heel in the back. It's not tall enough and your foot will constantly slip out at the back. Regardless of how tight you have the straps. I have a smaller foot so these things are huge on my feet but with the right support it would work well. If where you are using this is too dry, I suggest lightly spraying with water before using. ... show more
