These work as advertised. It is best to use them on a watered lawn. In order to work best, you need to walk like you are marching. Pick your feet up straight. If you use them like you are walking and bring your foot up at an angle, you could trip.

These work as well as expected. I was slightly concerned because we have hard red clay and not much rain so I was worried it would not penetrate as expected. I weigh about 140 lbs, and wear a women’s size 7 shoe. However, after the next rain they were very easy to use, but you do have to stop every so often to scrape off the buildup (it comes with a tool for that). They also shifted somewhat during the one hour that I was using them and I had to tighten the straps only twice. There was no issues sinking the spikes all the way into the ground. Not bad for the money.

Great value for the money. Easy to wear. Look great. Pretty functional. Very durable. I’m a petite person, so I found them a bit clumsy for aeration. But I feel a taller person might have a much easier go of it.

Pros: Easy to use. Does its job well. Easy to fit (see below). Spikes are strong. Recommend using tennis shoes or boots, anything else, the Velcro is hard and it will cut. Cons: Needs a bit of a learning curve for fitting and use. Spike nuts come loose quickly and if not looked into, some will get lost.

You have to work out the status for a hot minute, but they work well, are deep enough to really aerate and very sturdy.

My spouse bought these and had a lot of fun wearing them around the yard. So far as I can tell, aerating the soil is hard work no matter how you do it. And we don't really have a way to measure whether this item aerated the soil *well*. But they were apparently fun to use.

Unfortunately, my experience with them was entirely negative. On the very first use, the pens on the bottom, which are meant to aerate the lawn, broke off completely. This rendered the attachments useless immediately. I was extremely disappointed with the poor quality and lack of durability of this product. I would not recommend these aerator shoe attachments to anyone.
