Used this on a patchy section of yard and it does the job without beating up my back. The spring rebound is the real selling point here. After pressing the spikes into the ground, the springs do most of the recovery work for you, so you're not bending over and yanking it back up every step. That alone makes a noticeable difference after twenty or thirty plunges. The spikes are genuinely sharp, which matters more than people think. Dull aerator spikes just compress the soil instead of penetrating it, but these bite in cleanly even on harder ground. Twenty-one of them per stomp covers a decent footprint, so you're not out there all afternoon working a small patch. The adjustable handle height is a nice touch I didn't expect at this price. Four positions means I can dial it in for my own height instead of hunching or overreaching, which again pays off on the back and shoulders during a longer session. Assembly was straightforward and all the hardware was included. PROS: - Strong rebound springs do most of the lifting work - Spikes are sharp and bite into the soil cleanly - Adjustable handle height with four positions - 21 spikes cover a good footprint per stomp - Assembly was simple, all hardware included CONS: - None worth noting

This is a review for Myrvok Lawn Aerator from a guaranteed human. Why lawn need aeration? Because of weather condition and the fact human steps on them and compacted the soil they grew on. Compacted soil does not allow nutrition and other things needed for healthy grass. That is what my research concluded from reading multiple lawn care related websites. With how much of a struggle it is to keep my lawn happy, I thought it's a good idea to give this aerator a try. What I like so far: -Easy to assemble. Everything fit correctly, tools are included, instruction is easy to follow, and parts are clearly labeled. -Solid build quality. -Easy to use, even kind of therapeutic. -Works well when used on my clay soil of a lawn (with plenty of rocks in them as well). What I don't really like or think would make this better: -Grass that got stuck and pulled around the sprint posts. Not too hard to clean but is a minor annoyance. -Some kind of cover or pad so the tool does not rest on its spikes and making direct contact with the ground when stored. It's been 20 days since I used it, followed immediately by fertilizing the lawn and I can see that the grass are coming back better. Now if only there are similar tool to remove moss of my lawn.. The price is competitive with other similar products sold at Amazon. I do see some slightly more expensive model that would make "soil plugs" like professional landscapers use but this one works for what I need.

So, I got this metal spike aerator tool to use in my vegetable garden. I wanted to enable more water to seep down into the roots of my plants. I also wanted to soften up the soil. My garden isn’t ready to be planted yet, but I decided to put this together (it comes in four pieces) and test it out. It was relatively easy to put together and comes with the tools you need as well as a couple of extra nuts. Just know that the two shorter screws go in the U-shaped piece and the longer screws go through the top pieces. The tool appears to be well-made and sturdy. It weighs a little over six and a half pounds according to my scale. I think it is the right size because if it was any bigger, it would be tiring to carry it from place to place. When I used it in the garden area it was hard to see the holes because of the leaves, so I also used it in some softer ground (which is not what I intend to use this for) just so the photos would show the size of the holes. You need to step on it to push the spikes into the ground. The tool is easy to use and the spikes move smoothly through the tool. So, as long as you are not very lighweight (I’m 149lbs), it is easy to get the spikes into the ground - at least it is in ground that is not densely covered in grass clumps. I can’t speak to how well it will work in that situation as I do not have a vastly overgrown yard. The handle is comfortable too. I used it at full length and that was the right height for me (I am 5.2) So, for a small garden this should do the trick. However, if you want to use is to do your entire lawn, you may find you need to take some breaks and/or plan on it taking a couple of days to complete. Additionally, this aerator only puts holes in the ground, it is not the kind that you push down and it pulls up the weeds or dirt. Considering it is well-designed and made of metal it should last for a long time and is a good value for the money. For my purposes it should work fine and I am pleased with it. My Rating Scale: 5 =Exceeds expectations, 4 =Meets expectations, 3 = Not what I expected but I can still use it, 2 = Won’t work for me but may for someone else, 1 = Doubt it will work for anyone.
