So far, these cameras are really great! I bought the 4 count, it took a couple minutes to get them connected to the internet **have to have wifi** and when they say hook it up close to the router, I had to have them literally a foot away, but no big deal. The picture is very clear in day or night, I like the different night vision options. The movement alert is great, you can set up specific areas to alert your from or the entire camera span. My only critique is without the SD card you have to pay for Amazon's services to have the feed recorded and saved without hitting the record options on the app. The app is very easy to work with. The LaView 4MP Outdoor / Indoor Security Camera is a good product. In fact, I would give it 5 Stars. However, the only way the camera is usable is through the LaView App and it is not so good - I would give it 3 Stars - more on this later. I gave the whole package 4 Stars because their Customer Service was responsive and helpful. My contact, Hoshi, was very helpful and receptive to my concerns. He has reported them to their technical staff (hopefully they will be responsive to his inputs). The first thing I noticed was that the packaging was quite good and the vulnerable parts were well protected. Setup was simple, well described, and went smoothly. The camera has outstanding resolution and clarity. It’s after dark performance is also very good. The motion detection features all work well and it’s ability to differentiate humans from the noise of other motion is a particularly valuable tool and seems to work pretty good. The mounting system with the camera magnetically attached to the base is clever and worked fine for me. The only thing I might change is where the cable exists the camera. Right now it comes out directly opposite (behind) the lens which makes it impossible to aim the camera absolutely perpendicular to the surface that the camera cradle is attached to. I mounted the camera high enough such that it had to be aimed downward and I had no problem with this. The spot light is bright and allows the image to switch to full color in the darkness of the night. I have not had the camera long enough to report its’ durability against Mother Nature but have had no problems so far with mine being mounted outside. Now, getting back to the app, I could go on and on but will hit just a couple of the “low lights”. I view the camera image on 2 devices - an iPhone and an iPad. Maybe I'm different than the rest of the world but when I get a push notification of an “event” from the camera, I want to immediately play a clip of the video showing the event. There’s no way to do that. Tapping on the notification does not take me, either directly or even indirectly, to the video. It indirectly takes me to a thumbnail photo which usually shows the person and that screen leads me only to a “live” camera image. To view the video, you have to note the time-stamp of the event, find the “playback” button to tap, and then hunt for the time you want to start viewing. That isn’t too bad if you have setup the camera to only record events but if, like me, you want to have continuous recording to the memory card, the video of the event is buried in the timeline with no markers for “events”. It ain’t worth the effort! When viewing camera images on my iPad, it’s like the app developer forgot to even take a look. The app has a button that switches the view to full screen/landscape and, on my phone, presents you with an image at least twice as big, which is very useful. On my 11” iPad, that button leads to a weird landscape view in which the image is actually smaller than the one on my phone. They have completely missed the opportunity to present the user with a huge, spectacular, full screen, landscape view, really showing off the good resolution of this camera. This is 2 of the issues I had with the app - there are more. So, bottom line is, - good camera - app needs some work. I will enjoy and make good use the hardware and hope that the app software people listen to the inputs from their customer service people. If they do implement some changes that make the app more useful, I will gladly revise my rating to 5 stars. By the way, if I am not using the app properly or have completely missed something, some one please let me know. ... show more

La calidad de video es muy alta, se ve claramente todo incluso sin luz, tiene funcion de vision nocturna, infrarrojos y poca luz, y se puede ver muy bien, si eliges modo de color en la noche pareciera que la habitacion esta iluminada, realmente me agradaron mucho estas camaras. This is a Nice 4pk bundle to go with my laview system. The LaView 4MP 2K Security Cameras pack is really high quality well made cameras with a lot of thought into the design and features. The magnetic mount is awesome and makes mounting this camera in different area easier. The no hassle install is very quick with a scan from the app. I love how this camera has sharp 2k video with the cool spot light which helps protect your entry ways. As always this has the cloud option if you want it, but you can stick with the onsite memory card with camera. This is a great camera for a great price. ... show more

These cameras are good quality with the night-vision at a reasonable price compared to other brands . The cameras are great especially for the price! My only issue is the audio feature. When I first got the cameras the audio feature did not work. I reached out to the manufacturers and was contacted by Joe, and eventually the audio popped in. From time to time when you try to use the audio feature it says “operation failed” and does that quite some time before it finally works. The cameras work really well. The mounting process was relatively straight forward. They provide extra 3M stickies to help secure the cameras even further. The cameras have survived heavy rain and wind within the last few days and are still working great The only problem, was the mounting screws. They broke very easily. This is a simple solution, to spend a couple dollars on some same sized screws from a department store and youre good to go ... show more
