It's not overly weighted, either. She doesn't like to heat it up for yoga. She says it was inconvenient to do so. However, when she was suffering from a bad cold, she heated it up then, and she loved it. The scent isn't overpowering. The fabric is soft and it is well-made. She loves this gift. Returned it, because it was neither as big nor as heavy as I was looking for. But it smelled great, was soft, had a removable cover (seemed to be easy to take off and put back on), seemed well made, and came with a storage bag. I just wish it came in multiple sizes.

Works so wonderfully as a heat pack ir a cold pack. I have heated in the microwave on a plate, as the directions suggested, and works great on my neck. I get bad migraines and wanted to try it cold so I put it in my freezer earlier today. Using it on my head now and I can feel it calming the pulse rushing through my head.
