Perfume Oud Mood Eau de Parfum by Lattafa Perfumes is a warm, oriental fragrance with floral, woody and spicy notes and features a pleasant sweetness. The top note is sweet-spicy with floral notes and saffron. Amber and resins follow in the heart note and are replaced by vanilla, light smoky notes and sandalwood in the base. This was a blind buy (did not sample/smell before buying) that thankfully ended up working out. From the reviews, I was skeptical if this would be up my alley... (rose, saffron and oud made me nervous... i am not a big fan of rose and was unsure about oud) I am typically not a unisex perfume fan as I find them to lean too masculine for my liking and I do not like "Fresh" or "ocean" scents. (not that this one is, but unisex in general seem to be) Anyway... I find this to be unique, woody, aromatic and a nice change from my typical fragrance preference. (vanilla heavy, sweeter fragrances) I have worn this (lightly) in warmer weather but I do think it's best in cool temps as it is quite strong to me. I also tend to wear this when going out (I wear lighter fragrance when I'm staying home as I am prone to get headaches from strong smells)

I love this fragrance although not by itself. It's a very strong spicy oud with nutmeg, a bit of dark saffron and a sweet amber vanilla at the end. The official notes say there is cinnamon in there which is why I bought this in the first place but there is no cinnamon, just nutmeg and a woody saffron. A strong cinnamon would've made this even better but I love this fragrance as is. I could definitely see this being an offensive fragrance with how strong and spicy it is but I love it and layer it with many fragrances. It goes well with lavender, apple, boozy, leather, plum, cherry, tobacco, pepper, or just any dark fragrances. Longevity is great with 4 hours of strong projection 3 hours of medium projection then 4+ hours of being a skin scent of oud, vanilla, and amber. I just can't see this being a scent used by itself unless you have very middle eastern preferences. This fragrance is VERY STRONG so if you're layering just use 2-4 sprays max of this and 4-8 sprays of whatever you're putting with this. Usually I do a 1:4 ratio.

Recently, I have been getting into the Arabian perfume trend… I have Lattafa Yara Moi and Lattafa Ansaam Gold which is a very similar dupe for Love Killian’s Don’t Be Shy. Whenever I wear both scents I get many compliments. I wear Lattafa Yara Moi in the daytime and Ansaam gold in the evenings. I had purchased Moi in-person and did a blind buy for Ansaam which ended up smelling amazing. Unfortunately after blind buying and smelling Lattafa Oud Mood (after receiving it in the mail,) I wanted to throw up. I really did want to smell like Vanilla, musky, and whatever else the notes are in this EDP but to be honest, this smells horrible. I was told by someone that it smells almost like a barbershop and I couldn’t agree more. It definitely is not feminine as it is a VERY masculine scent. It literally smells like incense and smoke. I have been wearing it for about half an hour to test it out and every time I take a whiff of my wrist I get nauseous. It is very overpowering and too strong for my taste. It is very difficult to purchase Lattafa perfumes online with only reviews to go off of. I had very high hopes for this Oud Mood and am very disappointed. I will keep it however to see if/how I can layer it with other perfumes. If there is any chance were you can find any Lattafa perfumes in person (maybe in like a mall or perfume shop,) it’s better to always test them out (and pretty much any) type of perfume in-person so you see how the scent goes with your body chemistry.

This was a complete blind buy as well as my first time trying not only an Oud fragrance, but an Arabian perfume as well. Firstly, this fragrance came impeccably, beautifully and securely packaged. The cylindrical vessel the actual fragrance was housed in was so pretty and ould look so good on display. The bottle was just as well nice. You could immediately feel that the presentation was very well thought out to showcase the main event, the actual fragrance. It was definitely "Giving" sensory experience vibes. The scent is to me very sexy, sensual, and alluring and it definitely projects. It will absolutely garner attention and draw people into your space. It is a little intense at first, but the dry down is amazing and had me in a chokehold. The stay power on the skin was great and on clothes crazyy good. The scent to me was warm, beautiful and unique as a stand alone fragrance and I can't wait to play around with layering with other scents. Now with all that being said, I must let you know that you do not I repeat DO NOT need to use multiple sprays of this. If you do you may find it to be too over powering or off putting. I love it and it will last a very long time.

This scent is Very complex. Initially I was excited for it,as I love a Unisex scent.And when you get the first spray,it's Very nice. Sweet,musky and def the tobacco,almost incense scent is there. But the dry down smells like straight Vapor Rub. Just this medicine smell you can't get out the air. Also once its settled in your skin,it becomes a Complete cologne. Nothing or any feminity is there anymore. Def should be advertised more for men in the long run Is long lasting,tho,so that's what gives it 3 stars from me,lol

OK so this is a cheapie but oh my gosh what a pleasant surprise!!! Absolutely amazing scent that starts with a boozy Smokey scotch. It literally hits your nose and you think it's a male scent. But wait a few seconds! The scent transforms and develops Right before your nose into a pure and distinct rose. Not a mix of fruity and florals, in all honesty I hate florals they remind me of my grandma. But not this rose. This is more like very Modern Rose with a Smokey vanilla twist. It dries down sweet and vanillic (Although the notes say caramel, I can totally see it as there's this incense woody thing going on in the background). If I had to describe the vibe of this perfume I'd say it's a safe everyday wear. It's pleasant and not overly strong, but still not "generic" and lasts all day. I don't smell it all the time, only catching wifts of it from time to time. To my nose at least it's very "girl that works in the tech field" vibe. Or someone a bit scientific/nerdy. She is elegant, proud, well dressed and very intelligent, she is in her 30s and happily married...it gives off that satisfied, happy, and fulfilled vibe. It never screams for attention and is so smooth you can spray it before going to bed. Because it's not screechy in the least, it's so gentle and motherly. I absolutely fell in love with it, it can be layered with other Smokey perfumes like Riffaquat/Babycat/Nayel Queen for extra vanilla goodness! Lattafa did it again! I now own 3 Lattafas and decluttered 4 Armafs, so I am definitely buying more from this house! It doesn't disappoint!!!
