I'm a skinny guy(6'00 160lbs), so maybe my views are a bit skewed. But this thing doesn't seem to have any flex at all, which I feel kind of defeats the purpose of those hinged rivets. Good news: just pull the breastplate higher, and it doesn't matter. Honestly, it's pretty comfortable. Just make sure you have a friend to help you with the straps. This is not a one-man job.

It showed up oiled which was nice, no visible rust. No broken pieces and the straps were more than big enough to accommodate. I'm 6ft 1in 230ish, and It was a bit smaller than I was hoping for, lengthwise, the shoulder pieces don't go over the top of my shoulders and the very bottom point sits just below my belly button. Width/circumference was fine though.

It’s very waxy for a nice shine and has a potent smell of metal the edges are very very ridged so I did have to sand it down myself it is also not plus size friendly unfortunately I am 5’3 and 250 lbs and i had to get extenders for it to properly fit I also had to bend it to shape because the shoulder/back was very curved and pointy for the price I’d say it’s understandable but a little high for me to have to do so much work to fit comfortably in it

I bought this to wear for ren faire and sure I can but I’ll have to fix it first. It’s covered in rust and bird feather as well as the internal coating it’s ripped up scratched or coming off in chunks. I found spotting in the leather signifying the build up of mold as well. This item is a health hazard if you don’t know what your doing. Definitely would use caution. It’s also improper coated in a heavy duty grease which did nothing to protect it from rusting just made it a big mess

so... the strappings to short but im on the larger size and ive access to some one that can help me restrap it. its a well made piece and sturdy so far . it comes with both front and back plates . theres some black coloring inside thats started to flake off.
