When layered with my Roberto Coin diamond solitaire necklace, the CZ doesn't appear blatantly synthetic and blends in well with the real diamond - the 14k gold plating is crucial to making the pieces appear high-end while also preventing allergic reactions (I have ultra-sensitive skin). As someone who likes to just put jewelry on that I don't have to take off, it did take some getting used to for me to remove these necklaces before showering to prevent the CZ from clouding, which it has a tendency of doing, as well as to prevent the gold plating from wearing off. They also tangle fairly easily, so you will need to check periodically to make sure they aren't a jumbled mess. They've remained in good condition with my occasional wear. ... show more
