This is a great coloring book for children or adults who love to color. One sided pages with beautifully drawn birds, flowers, animals, dragon flies, butterflies etc. The drawings are not intricate yet the details lovely and fun to highlight, blend, shadow etc. They inspire creativity without feeling unfinished. The color test pages in the beginning are a great feature I have not seen before. Great to test color combinations, test blending or shading before putting it in your pages. The paper has great tooth for colored pencils. I did not find it too thin. The very first pages gives thoughtful tips and a way to share your finished pages. In the back of the book are sample pages from their other popular coloring books. A fun way to try out any others you might see on Amazon and wonder how they look in person. I plan on printing the pdf pages offered to share or try different coloring techniques. I received this book in exchange for my opinion but I admit this is a coloring book I would have been willing to purchase myself. Very nicely done! ... show more

OK! So to start off, I was sent this book free of charge for purposes of writing this review. All the following thoughts are mine alone, and have not been swayed or influenced, nor am I in any way associated with the seller. This book at first glance didn't pop or wow me. Not that it was a bad first impression, it just looked like any other coloring book. When I actually sat down and began to scrutinize it for this review did I realize that I in fact judged the book by its cover ( ha! see what I did there?) The pictures are well drawn and the lines are clean and sharp. This shows that the artists cared and wanted to put out a quality, professional image. The pages are single sided, which is a MASSIVE ++++++++++ for me, as I prefer to use alcohol markers for coloring, which tend to bleed through EVERYTHING. The book includes two pages of blank test swatches to use if your unsure of how your preferred medium will show up, which is a really nice added touch that I wish more books would adopt. The paper I feel is pretty thin, although it has a very nice tooth to it, which should make the colored pencil enthusiasts happy, and they are not perforated, so If you prefer to consolidate your work to a binder etc, you best get your razor blades ready. The pictures, as the title states are larger areas, and not full of fine and tiny areas to color, So this book may be a hard pass for the extreme mandala or other fine intricacy fans out there. It is however great for casual coloring, parent/child coloring time, or older audiences/ people with maybe poor eyesight, shaky hands, so on. BONUS!!!!!! This book gives you several bonus pages from their other books at the end on this one, smart move as it piqued my interest in their other work. Finally they give you access to the printable PDF of this book, so you can go back and reprint this book to re-do or do on your prefered paper choice. So to sum up: Pros: Great images, clean lines Single sided sheets, marker friendly Good paper for colored pencil fans Bonus Pages PDF access to reprint the book over. Great for people who arent great at doing fine detail work Test swatch pages Cons: Paper feels a little thin No perforations Wont challenge the more extreme colorists I would and will definitely look into this companies other books. The cons I listed are very nitpicky, and are not a reason to pass on this book. Definite one to check out! ... show more

I recieved this book the other day and have to say Im very pleased with it. Its printed on a pretty smooth paper that pencils apply nicely on. I havent tried markers on it yet, but seeing as the pages are printed only on one side, even it they bleed thru its not a problem. I love the mix of animal and flower pictures (especially the birds) and all the pictures are printed beautifully. They are larger in size which is a nice change from coloring in some of my very small detailed books. I recieved this book for free or a reduced price in exchange for my honest review. This is a great book, especially for beginners, those wanting practice in shading and blending and people with vision problems. The paper is a good quality. Markers bleed through but all images are single-sided so put sheets behind to protect the next page if you don't remove them from the book. Gel pens leave a shadow and pencils work great! There are bonus pages from other books that offer more detailed areas to color. Pleased with this book. I was given this book at a free or reduced price in exchange for my review. I think this is a great book. There are many good qualities, such as the pages are not double-sided so you don't have to worry about ruining a page with bleed through. I absolutely love the tester pages in the beginning. I wish more books did this. I have been looking for a book that I can color in with my daughter, and this is perfect for that. The pictures are not overly complicated and don't have super small details so it's fun for both of us. My daughter loves all the animals in it, and says all the different birds are very pretty. I also like that there are sample pages from some of their other coloring books in the back so you can see what kind of images are in those books. I haven't seen that in other books either, so it's a nice addition to this book. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes to color. This is exactly what I was looking for. A large print, and easy coloring book. After looking at the reviews and sample pages on Amazon, I ordered this book. It has 20 non-perforated pages to color, one sided, and an additional 11 bonus pages in the back of the book, as samples for other coloring books you can order. The artist was amazing to let me try this fabulous adult color book on her dime. The pictures are so beautiful and different. I can color what i am feeling. That is beautiful, this artist knows how to make a person smile. I plan on buying the rest of her books. Amazing job!
