It’s a pet peeve of mine when Amazon sellers Photoshop their product images to mislead you, so I have to get my complaint about that out of the way first. The first word in this product’s title is “large” and they show a stack of large coins next to a bag with two smaller coins off to the side. The two small coins are the actual size that you get; the large coins are completely fake. I guess they took a photo of the coins and then made it 3x bigger to trick you. They also show pirates holding the coins and they’re depicted as being 3x to 4x bigger than they actually are. I don’t appreciate that. With that out of the way, I do like these coins. I grew up watching cartoons that frequently included gold coins as treasure but metallic gold coins (as toys) were not available. There’s something really satisfying about them. The coins, although metal, are lightweight. I’d say they weigh about half as much as a US quarter. I like that they’re uneven, almost as if the edges have been clipped, but they’re all identical to each other. It’s a neat design. The bag is a velvet material. I guess it’s meant to emulate a leather pouch. I think that $12.99 for 35 coins is a pretty fair price.

I am nothing but tickled with this lil jingly sack of coins. They're nice and shiny, which the goblin-corvid in me loves. And they come in a velvet drawstring bag, just big enough to let them jingle around. The 35pc has a good weighty heft in the palm of my hand. I like to imagine I'm a medieval lord, some dirty Prince John type. I'm bouncing this nebulous bag of coins, about to toss it to a mercenary to "take care of the problem". So satisfying. They have a nice stamped feel, despite being cast. Price is not bad for what you get!

I'm really happy with these, and they will be put to use for party games and tokens for tabletop games. The coins are actual metal, so they feel much better with some real "clink" unlike cheap plastic tokens. But they are still cheap enough to be a good deal for the quantity. Bit thin, but that's understandable. They are in the rough gold press style and symbols of the 1690's era Spanish Two Escudos Doubloon, but are totally fine for fantasy RPG themed use.

Really fun addition to any pirate costume or maybe even a fishtank? Makes a great accessory for various uses. The coins are about the size of a quarter and about the same weight. The casting and the gold plating are good, leaving the coins very shiny and authentic looking. The included bag is also pretty good and of good quality. Overall, nice item and would order again.

It's pirate gold! Honestly, it's pretty cool. The coins are made of metal so they 'clink' together with a cool sound. There is also more weight to them than plastic ones. Great for pirates, Dungeons & Dragons, or just for hoarding. I thought maybe these would be of no interest to my teen, but I was wrong.
