This set caught my attention because I enjoyed the simplicity of the colors and clothing. I thought it represented the actual conditions of simple provisions. Many other nativity sets show glossy and vibrant clothing which feels inauthentic to me. And I wanted the focus on the baby Jesus, and didn’t want to highlight the stable animals or magi. Joseph is unusually and disproportionately tall which is a bit odd. My sis asked if he was on stilts LOL but his trunk is attached to a plastic cone. I was happy with my purchase although I do feel like it was over priced for $100. The only glass parts are the faces and hands on Joseph and Mary. So even at $20 per piece this felt more like a $45-60 value. But I shopped late and paid a premium for poor planning. ... show more

I was very happy with this set. Perfect for Christmas if you have a display area on a table or console. It is light weight, easy to stand up and artistically beautiful. I put it up with small fairy light as soon as I received it. Very happy.

I really like the muted colors and realistic clothing. I love baby Jesus. He's just as pictured. I have to agree with another customer's review regarding Joseph. He seems too tall in comparison to Mary (even though she's kneeling). I cut about an inch off the cone form under his clothing and he looks much better. I also had to carefully separate the clothing from the bottom of his staff/stick and snip it so it would be the same height. I wish Mary's dress was longer in the back and not gathered around her legs. I was attracted to it because of it's simplicity and I'm happier with it after making some minor changes. I placed it on some linen material with small fairy lights to illuminate it. It's a nice display to help us reflect upon Jesus' birth and the promise of the manger. ... show more
