    • Time consuming but worth it!
It definitely takes longer than 30 minutes, needs 2 people and i strongly recommended using a drill. The end product is worth it though. Our dog eats everything so a plastic or wooden doghouse would not have worked out. Glad theres a metal option!

    • Not exactly what I was looking for but I made it work.
Right above the text box to enter in these words were a few options for selecting how many stars you would give a given category. The three categories listed were weatherproof, sturdiness and how hard it was to put together. Weatherproof would indicate rain sunshine and colder temperatures. The roof has a coating of shingle like rocks upon it so I would imagine that the rain would remove all but the most stuck on rocks. It has not been exposed to that much weather yet, but it does not strike me as a quality that can easily stand up to lots of weather. Sturdiness would be what the material is made out of and how much weight or violence it could withstand. I have no plans to smack it with anything hard so I don’t know how well it will stand up to violence, but knowing that it’s not made out of anything other than MDF (which doesn’t respond well to moisture) doesn’t give me much confidence that it will survive very long. But it could surprise me. Easy to Put Together: this is where this product fails hard in my opinion. The instructions aren’t made with a lot of clarity & detail. I spent a lot longer than i wanted to trying to figure out how a panel was attached which made a lot of other pieces not fit correctly. The floor of the dog house is not a solid piece but rather 3 pieces that are supported by 2 rails that do not stay in place very easily. A lot of people in the reviews claim the roof is hard to put on by yourself & i would argue that it is NOT hard to put on if you lay the kid on top and then lean the structure forward to screw in the hinges. ... show more

    • Super cute, but a tough build

It is obviously super cute in my patio area, however I did not read that the entire thing is sheet metal. So I bled quite a bit from cuts. Manufacturer does supply gloves but I struggled holding on the hardware while I was building it. Also, I live in a part of the country that gets to be above 110 in the summer and I fear that would be too much for my tortoise, so I ended up getting a screen to keep the house out of direct sun light and lined the bottom with some good hay. ... show more

    • Consider the Sun Exposure
Since this is all metal and dark grey - if you put it in a sunny spot then your dog may overheat. I put mine in the shade under a partly covered fenced in area. Also, the metal edges are no joke, I cut through the gloves provided - so use the gloves to ensure you don't cut yourself. Also - it said 90 minutes for 2 people, it took me over 3 hours as I did this by myself - so get help. ... show more

Looks exactly what it’s suppose to, but the manual says 30 minute job… try 3 hour job .. Also not all of the holes matched up but we made it work…

Fast shipping, excellent packaging (no damage during shipping/delivery). The pieces are all easily identifiable in order of assembly. No major tools required and very easy to put together. Metal material that won't degrade when exposed to weather. This company did it right! I was very impressed with design all the way down to the packaging to insure no damage in transportation. The engineers for this dog house got it very right! There is enough room for my doggie to stay inside and feel comfortable. She absolutely looks her cozy new place. Well built and good material.
