Putting it together was a bit challenging as you need to connect the poles on the outside of the kite while they are in the material of the kite (you can't see the connections to connect them and have to do it by "feel"). The directions were easy to understand. The string holder is easy to "operate" and allows the string to be released with a flick of the wrist. Bringing the kite back down just takes rolling the string back up. There is plenty of string to wined the kite out to a great height for flying it. Trying to keep it up in a brisk breeze is a bit of a challenge and took me quiet a bit of movement to get it up and keep it up. It's a fun little kite. ... show more

The kite was relatively easy to assemble from its folded, compact packaging in a velcro-closing vinyl bag. I recommend watching the vendor's video to get a quick jump on assembling. The only minor glitch I had was attaching the swivel clip to the kite. The swivel clip was surprisingly difficult to open and close, and I consider myself to have strong fingers and hands. Ultimately, I needed a pair of needle nose pliers to open and close the clip. Perhaps others will have a less stiff clip. Once assembled, the kite was very easy to get airborne and fly with a 15mph cold, winter wind. The vendor recommends it for kids, but as a lazy adult, I'm not looking for a challenging kite -- I hope to have a kite that's easy to fly and that I can admire in the sky and let my mind wander to the joys of nature and peaceful surroundings. In its way, kite flying can be a form of meditation. The ripstop material and strong rods promise a durable kite that will provide amusement for seasons to come. It was as easy to disassemble as it was to assemble -- and I didn't bother to unhook the swivel clip, so there will be no problems at all next time. At 10 bucks a kite (as of this writing) that's a lot of entertainment for the price of a fast food lunch. ... show more
