  • These books always useful!
Have been buying these "Dummies" books since I got first computer in '98. They are always informative and I recommend them to everyone as there is sure to be something of interest to all degrees of users. Just got first laptop 2 months ago and wanted something to reference to be sure I was using it in the way it should be. Still haven't finished reading it as can't stay off computer when not busy with other things. Well worth the money to have around for those forgetful moments. Easy to look things up as you need it or read it straight thru! ... show more

  • Big Help, Finding Things In It Is Easy
Really helpful book and exactly what I needed, unlike the fancy difficult books that are of no use to us non technically trained folks this one gets right to the point. I covers different subjects explaining them simply what to and not to do. There are some nifty diagrams and pictures visual aids are always a plus. Some subjects are how to deal with broadband, dial up modems,,printer set up, wi fi, viruses and so much more. The index is really helpful making finding things a snap the print is a good size so reading is easy ... show more

This book was very, very helpful for me as much as I expected it should have been. I`m 65 yrs. old and decided its time to explore the cyber world, I`ve had some dealings with laptops but I needed more help to learn more what they could do to help and benefit my retirement. I`ve found so many helpful stuff about laptop computers that now I can`t stay away from my laptop now. Thank you Dan Gookin. ... show more
