The pictures show thick and quality towels, such as you see at quality hotels. The towels are a lot thinner than that, and not feel so pleasant to touch as seen and written at the descriptions. The color is also (very) washed out and very far from the pictures. I've scheduled a return.

There were so many positive reviews, even though there were a number of bad reviews, I ordered them anyway. Please pay attention to the bad reviews-they are accurate. When I got these towels I instantly washed them by themselves in cold water, with a very small amount of soap. My result was the same as so many others. My hand towel and washcloth came out just fine. My bath towel came out with threads hanging loose and one seam completely undone. I contacted Amazon who replied that I had to deal with the company. So I sent a message to the company, no reply. Then I got a second response from Amazon-was my issue resolved. No! No reply from Amazon. I then sent a second message to the company. No reply. Then came the second message from Amazon-was my issue resolved? No! No response from either amazon or Lane Linen. Obviously I am not going to get any help resolving the issue, and I am left with a nice brand new "junk towel." I have shopped for a replacement towel, and at least now I know enough to avoid Lane Linen. Yes, this is a very long review, but if it keeps one person from buying anything from Lane Linen, it's worth it. UPDATE: I just washed my towels for the second time. I now have a nice large gray rag. Not sure I will even keep it as a rag. ... show more
