These sheets are amazing. It feels good knowing that they will last for years to come, wash after wash. I don't know about you but when looking for sheets that are 100% cotton, I don't want some sateen mix that will just shrink up with repeated washing and drying. To those that gave these one star, I want you to think about what you did. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I would say these are better quality than Lands End sheets that cost upwards of $400. They have extra stitching for deep pockets so you won't rip your fitted sheets when pulling them onto your mattress. I have a California King bed with a topper and this fits like a glove. I washed the sheets when I first got them and put them on the bed. I could tell right away they weren’t silky smooth the way sateen sheets are supposed to be. These are, however, the thickest sheets I have ever owned. They are very stiff, like an over-starched dress shirt, and hint at feeling rough, despite fabric softener and dryer sheets. The sheets had a few wrinkles fresh out of the dryer, but they smoothed out nicely when I put them on the bed. Over the years, I have paid a lot for sateen sheets that were super silky. Unfortunately, they wore out after pretty quickly. With these sheets, you will be sacrificing that silky smooth feeling for sheets that will last for many years. These sheets were soft out of the package but after one wash they are rough and hold onto any fold creases or wrinkles out of the dryer. The fitted sheet barely makes it over each corner of our king bed, but the package says these are king size, so a lot of work and frustration to get the bed made. 1 star because it arrived and 1 star because it’s impressive how many 5 star (???) reviews they have. We really dislike these rough sheets, wish I could return, and they will most likely end up in a box for Goodwill. ... show more
