I LOVE this turtleneck top — so much that I need to order several other colors. It is light enough that I wondered at first whether it would be warm enough under sweaters, hoodies, etc., but it is perfect. It even washes and dries easily. I am sold!

I've had very good experiences with Lands' End clothes, and expect the same from this Thermaskin Baselayer Turtleneck Top. - The fabric is nicely made and comfortable. - The seams are sewn well. (See the photo.) Quality sewing on the seams is what nearly always determines how long clothing like this lasts. - The color is, in fact, a somewhat dark Forest Green. That is a bit difficult to discern from the Amazon product photos. - As you can see in the product images, this top is cut for women, fitting a bit more closely at the waist. For many, that's a good thing, but take note. - As with many base layers, overall the fit is somewhat close-fitting. ... show more

This Lands’ End Thermaskin turtleneck is super soft against my skin. If I could wear it for days in a row, I would. The fabric is light but keeps me warm, not too thick or thin, and it stretches nicely without feeling restrictive. I didn’t expect to wear it by itself, but I have, and it works fine as a regular long-sleeve turtleneck. It’s completely opaque, no see-through issues, and just looks like a normal basic shirt. The length hits right at my hips, and it’s not bulky at all. Excellent quality, as expected from Lands End. I’ve washed it twice now (both times air dried), and it’s exactly the same afterward, no shrinking, no pilling, no color fade. Still feels as soft as when it was new. It’s turned out to be an everyday piece for me, whether layered or on its own. Will definitely be ordering another color. ... show more

Super duper soft fabric. I love the green/gray neutral color. The fit is very snug though, so it would make a nice base layer. I would even go so far as to suggest sizing up.
