  • size and fit
Size: 11 X-Wide Color: Rich Coffee Brown
I ordered these for my husband for Christmas in an extra wide 11 size since he likes having plenty of room in his shoes which makes them more comfortable for him and he loves them. there came a snow storm less than 2 weeks after christmas and he wore them and they kept his feet warm and dry. would recommend also they are very reasonably priced ... show more

  • Adequate boot for the money we'll get the job done in bad weather.
Size: 11 X-Wide Color: Rich Coffee Brown
Keep in mind the price point of the boot and the reason you're buying it. Dry feet and it does that job. However don't expect that this is going to be a long lasting boot because the uppers are not leather, however they seem well stitched and well-made. They do run slightly large in size however they are comfortable once they're on and the lower waterproof part is relatively soft on the top, unlike some which feel like having Tupperware on your feet. In short don't expect this to be $150 boot because it's 1/3 price. ... show more

  • Great wet weather boot.
Contrary to some other reviews I did not find these boots to run large. Ordered a half size down which was a mistake. Great wet weather boot otherwise.

  • Poor Quality on the Insides
Size: 9 X-Wide Color: Black
The insides of both boots had problems. The right boot had a large wrinkle in the inside material around the instep that I was unable to smooth out. I could see this becoming painful if I wore the boots for more than a few minutes. The sole liner in the left boot appeared to be too large for my size - the edges all around the liner ran up the sides of the boot. I am returning the boots and will try for another brand. ... show more

  • solid for things like shoveling the driveway, trips to the compost, running errands
Size: 10 X-Wide Color: Hazelnut Tan
These are a solid pair of boots but not a great pair. Some specifics: Packaging: a plastic bag inside a plastic bag. Mine arrived fine but not the most protective of packages Fit/Comfort: I take a 9 1/2 or 10 (depending on brand) and have a wide foot which either preclude some brands (lots of Nike cleats for instance) or prompts be to get a wide if possible. This is a 10W and they're are quite comfortable for foot space. The wide doesn't have huge gaps but my feet don't feel constrained or constricted at all. Quite pleasant. They are a little longer in the toe box than most 10s I own, but not awkwardly so. They don't bend or feel like I'm wearing clown shoes. And with thick wool winter socks, the extra space might be a benefit. So quite pleased with the fit/space. There is pretty much no cushioning in these--a very thin insole and that's about it. I don't think I'd want to go on a long walk in them, but they're perfectly fine for short wear. I'll shovel the driveway in them, for instance, rather than my bulkier winter boots, throw them on for going to the compost bin in the far end of the backyard, popping in a and out of stores, etc. But not for our semi-nightly walks around the block of 1-2 1/2 miles. Construction: There are a few threads that hang out. The insoles are not attached at all. Some might prefer that to dry out, but honestly, the insoles are so thin that won't be an issue. I'd have preferred having them stitched in or glued in. Another reasons I'd think twice about a long walk with these Waterproof: they are waterproof (up to a certain height obviously). Nothingn leaked through any of the seams. weight: mid-weight. Lighter than my taller winter boots, not as light as my hiking boots (not a complaint as lightness if more of a goal for the hikers, just an observation) warmth: it's only reached down to low 40s here, so hard to say. Certainly fine for that temperature, and to be honest, as I dont' anticipate wearing them for too long a time period, I imagine they will be suitable down to freezing and a bit below. If I thought I'd be wearing them longer I might wonder, but not worried about it. Not sure about the "insulation", but I think "warm fleece" is a bit of an overstatement on the interior. It's a pretty flat and seemingly thin material. It's OK, but it chafes on bare skin--you'll want socks that go above the boot--and it isn't what I think when I think of warm fleece (not saying it technically doesn't qualify as fleece--it very well may--but I think it's not what would spring to mind for most with that description). The tread is OK. Our definition of "rugged" -- like our definition of fleece--clearly differs a bit. But I'm used to Vibram soles. Like the rest of the boot, I'd say it's adequate to its use. I haven't been pricing boots lately, so I can't say too much re value. I wouldn't pay more than 50 certainly, partly for construction materials, partly for not a long-term boot. 50 is probably OK, but a sale price would bring them more into "value" territory I think. ... show more

  • No insole strength or support, felt every little pebble and twig
Size: 9 X-Wide Color: Hazelnut Tan
Whenn I got them, I learned they were wildly grooved in the soles, so I bought a tube of Shoe Goo and went about filling all the grooves so they would not be a pain to clean of dirt and mud. A couple layers in the grooves and that was done. Then, wearing them in the yard, I could feel every single stick stone or other little bumps on the ground. It was like wearing thin rubber shoe covers in sock feet. Lifting them from the box, they were feather-light. A decent sole would have been noticeable in added weight. These weigh about half what my old, cracked duck boots weigh. Mostly it is because structure is missing. They seemed plenty warm, and comfy, but I am going to have to make #ome harder inserts for them and then put a felt pad on top of that. This is one big reason I dislike buying clothes online. Can't see, feel and check out the item for quality or fit. Would NOT buy again. It would be SO easy to make the soles a little stiffer, less sensitive to absorbing every little bump on the ground and feeling it inside the boots, against my feet. Waterproof, Yes. Solid insole, Nope. None. Just a soft pad. They look good, though, and should keep my feet dry and last a long time. ... show more
