I ordered this dress specifically for my babyshower at 31 weeks pregnant. I also used it for maternity pictures that were done later in my pregnancy. I am 5’3 and ordered a size large. The dress was very long on me and I needed to pick it up while walking. I probably should have ordered a XL as the underlined dress would roll from sitting down probably due to baby belly. The ruched look is what got me to order, it is very stretchy and lightweight. I did my maternity pictures outside and I am from Florida and I wasn’t that hot in it (the slit definitely helps with that) the shoulder piece of fabric does not stay in place for us bigger chested women so I was constantly having to fix that but not a huge issue. Oh, this dress cleared! 😂 I ordered it kinda last minute, but let’s not tell everybody that! 🤣 I wore this dress to my cousin’s 16th birthday party, and the theme was Princess and the Frog with a Harlem Renaissance feel, so I wanted something that would fit the vibe. I paired it with long red gloves and gold jewelry, and the whole look came together so nicely. The dress has a great amount of stretch, and honestly, I probably could have sized down from the size I originally ordered, but it still fit beautifully. I really liked the slit, and the little sleeve that sits off to the side of one arm was such a cute detail. The only thing I noticed is that the dress does ride up a little when you move around, especially if you have a bit of wagon back there 😂. The fabric feels nice against the skin. It has more of a mesh-like feel, but it was not see-through on me. I still have the dress, and it’s still in great condition. I definitely think this is one of those pieces you can wear for different occasions depending on how you style it. I got SO many compliments at my baby shower! I didn’t want it to be too skin tight and uncomfortable during my shower, so I went with an XL and I’m so thankful I did. I am 5’0, currently 170lb with a G cup and if I would’ve went with the large, I don’t think the top half would’ve fit. I did have to cut the bottom of it since I am so short, but the material was super easy to slide some scissors through! The one shoulder didn’t like to stay in place, but I truly think it was because of the size of my breasts. The material is great and it’s slightly brighter of a pink in person. The picture in my review is color enhanced so it’s not that bright, but not as “rosy” as the stock images. Overall 10/10 and I felt gorgeous in it! ... show more
