Not the traditional polo material Lacoste uses. But I like it! Fits well (always go up a size with Lacoste and NEVER dry them in a dryer!! They shrink!)

I’ve been wearing Lacoste for decades. A much loved brand for me. I have French made, Peru, El Salvador, etc, amid multiple books on the brand. This new polo I just picked up was made in Cambodia and you can start to see the cost cutting. The fabric is thinner than other polo shirts I have and the mother of pearl buttons have also been slimmed down. There is no Devanlay tag as they are no longer the sole manufacturer of the polo shirts. For decades it was Devanlay who held the license to produce the shirts as their expertise was in fabrics/manufacturing. The Lacoste family no longer own the company and it seems to be the case these days……prices go up and quality goes down. It’s still a decent polo but if you are very familiar with the brand the differences do show. The DEVANLAY group was sold in 1998 to MAUS FRERES. In November 2012, Lacoste was bought outright by Swiss family-held group Maus Frères.……Now that Devanlay and the family are no longer involved, cost cutting is probably inevitable. ... show more
