  • Tested good for my 2 immediate applications + 1 unexpected
Model: LAST440
Although like all tools I should have further use for these in the future, I obtained them for two immediate applications. The first was lifting each end of a heavy entertainment center so that wheels could be placed under it for moving it by myself. While there are dedicated lever-type lifters for that, one person holding that up while placing the wheels increases the odds of an accident. I confirmed these will allow me to lift up one end and keep both hands free. I did need to wedge a small crowbar under the furniture to lift it up enough to provide clearance for the platform of these jacks, however. (The furniture sat directly on the a carpeted floor with almost no clearance). The second was to lift the front of a kitchen cabinet that had sagged due to water damage. While the structure the cabinet front was attached to had been replaced, I had been unable to both fully lift the cabinet into place while also securing it. I confirmed these will be able to provide the necessary weight. In short, I have no complaints about these items. They appear to be sturdily built. (I find it amusing the packaging appears to have both "fragile" and "handle with care" symbols when these jacks are made of solid metal and packaged in high density foam). Both lifting and lowering the jacks worked as expected, although I only opted to use the "slow" lever as I wasn't lifting high. It should be noted that at least with the slow level, the jack ratchets down, so multiple presses will be required. One item I accidentally noticed is that the jack platform actually would go a bit below the base, so using this a clamp instead for thin materials may be possible without having to reverse the head (as detailed in the manual). Whether that is advisable is another matter. One unexpected application is that I found these can also be useful to push. I had a noisy window heat pump that I needed to replace. It was designed with a removable chassis, and that had to be removed to access two screws that secured the case to the window frame, but it wouldn't pull out. After making a bit of room between the chassis and the case with first a small flat blade screwdriver and then a small pry bar (carefully avoiding the coil fins), I was then able to insert the "foot" of this jack and use it to push the chassis several inches until it could then be pulled from the inside. ... show more

  • Lift and hold so you can use your hands at the same time
Model: LAST440
I can't tell you if they will lift 440lbs or if you can squeeze the handle hard enough to lift 440lbs but they do work. I used them on my 4'x4' island cabinet with a heavy top on it and the drawers full and it held no problem. They do require some grip strength to operate with a few hundred pounds on them so beware. They held for a couple hours then I let them down with the slow release that does maybe 1/4" per push. The fast release drops it all the way at once. The are heavy duty and solid. the base is about 1/8" thick with a taper to 1/32" to get them started under an item. You may have to get a little lift by hand just to slide these under or at least start them then you could tap them under with a mallet. Full lift height is 6 1/8". There is a scale on the side that is completely usless. There is no indicator to tell you where you are on the scale for example. The scale is metric on one side and standard on the other. The metric units say cm but the increments and numbers stamped on it are mm. It does have a double stamp on the lowered side so the stamp must have moved, and it was restamped off by just a small amount enough to look blurry or like your seeing double. If it matters use your tape measure that's what you should do anyway. Overall use this to hold something while you fasten it to a wall or to put plastic slides under or a dolly to move it. There are many uses and they work and that is the most important. ... show more

  • Heavy enough to carry a sumo!
Model: LAST440
As I keep working on my home remodeling project, one problem I keep running into is the amount of times I have to move my furniture around. Originally I had these delivered to me and the assembly guys were the ones who had built and moved everything for me. Now that I'm trying to penny pinch here and there, I can't afford to pay a day rate just to have movers come move one thing here and another day over there; that's ridiculous! That's when I knew I needed to invest into something sturdy that'll last a while and that's where this arm tool jack by EASGIU comes in. Out of the box and using it definitely felt pretty sturdy and the steel it's made out of definitely doesn't scratch my wooden cabinets I had to brush against it. For reference, I had these hold a 70 lb dresser in place but from the description, it looks as though it can carry up to 440 lb! That's insane but I don't doubt it! ... show more

  • Sturdy
Model: LAST440
This set of Jacks is made from a sturdy metal. The spring is definitely heavy duty and it does come greased enough to allow for smooth operation. Because it is completely metal, it requires more elbow grease. I would have liked it to have some bumper material on the handle as well as the feet in order to offer traction. The handles do have ruler units both in inches and mm. This is hard to read and it is labeled as "cm" but it is mm. The set comes with gloves to help with the grip. ... show more

  • Worth the Price
Model: LAST440
I got this jack lifting tool because my husband has a couple of rental properties that after each move-out, he has to go in a practically gut and redo the apartment. He hang a lot of doors and he's had to replace windows. He is looking to start flipping houses and I know this will be a handy tool to have when he's refurbishing the houses. This comes with 2 jacks, and they are heavy, well-constructed and seem to be durable. ... show more
