I am a hair extension enthusiast and a professional hair stylist. Let me tell you my story and my opinion from a professional perspective! For the past 3 years, the whole world has been in a state of turmoil. Unfortunately, I was infected with COVID. And as a woman who loves beauty, the sequelae brought about by COVID have slight hair loss, which makes me feel very scared and inferior. It was devastating. A friend recommended I try black hair extensions human hair until my hair started to come back. I had never had extensions, and I definitely was afraid of the idea of doing themself having already lost so much of my pretty hair. The local salon wanted over a thousand dollars for tape in hair extensions, I found out they got the hair from LAAVOO, and that the charges were a lot of random tack ons, and a surplus hourly rate. But I have never used hair extensions, I contacted laavoo's customer service department, they carefully explained to me how to wear & how to care & how to wash & how to remove the tape hair which is more professional than the salon, let me tell you these tips ! WEARING TIPS!!!! Step 1- Hair extensions must be applied to washed clean hair. Note, only use shampoo, not conditioner. Step 2- Rip off the cover on the tape extension to expose the super tape. Line up extension directly and attach by pressing to piece of desired hair. Step 3- Double the thickness by adding another layer to the underneath of the piece. Step 4- Two sticky sides face each other and the section of hair will be in the middle. Like a sandwich. Please note that there are about 50-80s hairs attached to it. If there are too many attached hairs, the stickiness of tape will be affected. Step 5- Please Note: Once hair is in, use your flat iron on a low heat setrting. Please control the temperature within 350 degrees Fahrenheit. (Please don’t use too high temperature, because that may cause the tape to melt.) Then heating the tapes 5-6s one time, repeating 5-6 times. Your hair is now thick and seamless. PRECAUTIONS AFTER WEARING FOR THE FIRST TIME: Do not wash your hair within 48 hours, do not touch alcohol or any chemical substances after wearing tape in hair extensions human hair, do not go to the swimming pool, and use neutral shampoo to wash your hair. WASHING & CARING TIPS: Step 1- use conditioner when shampooing; Step 2- use a hover comb to comb through your hair while blowing it out; Step 3- apply hair oil; Step 4- use a straightening board to straighten the hair. REMOVING TIPS: Step 1- Use with a professional product for taking out the tapes on the contact part of the hair and tape. Step 2- Wait for one minute, gently peel off the tape. (Don’t tear the tape too hard, because that might pull your own hair.) Step 3- Then you can wash your own hair to keep your hair clean and you could replace with new tapes. I hope these little tips of mine are helpful to you.If you’ve never put tape ins before- trust me it’s too easy. Then I bought laavoo hair extensions, please see the video and pictures, I really like it! 100% remy human hair ! Soft!!! GOOD QUALITY!!!! Cheaper than the salon and very cost-effective！！！ Just like that, my confidence is back! I like and appreciate myself very much now! This is my fourth time with extensions like these. These are by far the nicest clamp-in extensions I have used to date. They are soft, both out of the package and during wear. I am going to include some tips that I have learned from having this type of extension: Extensions of any kind can be an investment and a lot of work, but I have found these to be more so. You will likely need to invest in good products to help maintain the life of these. If you have short hair like mine (pixie cut) and you want to use these to go from short to long hair, you'll likely need 3+ bundles. Prewash all of your extensions. They come out of the package with a lot of extra dye on them that I found to be very irritating if not washed out before install. I usually prewash, condition and flat iron. I recommend having someone help you install these, especially for the back portion of your hair. Reserve at least 5 or 6 extra extensions in the event you have an extension break and need to replace it. Usually this will happen at the metal clamp. Start with an incredibly clean hair base. Wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo and get your hair nice and clean. Try not to leave any oils in your hair. I have found that this will help them stay in better and greatly reduce slide-outs. If you are doing your full head, allow yourself a few days to install these, doing just a few rows per day. These can become heavy in the hair really fast, especially if you have short hair are are adding long extensions. They can be painful to sleep on the first few nights while you get used to them, so I recommend planning accordingly. Invest in a good wide tooth comb. Brushing with a regular brush can pull them out. Try to only shampoo your hair once every few days as too much washing will make them look worn much faster. Invest in a good dry shampoo, these can make your scalp very oily. Conversely, the ends of these extensions tend to look a little stringy by the end of the day. I have found that a bit of leave in conditioner on the ends helps with this. Remember to regularly care for your scalp. Dandruff is not uncommon with this type of extension. Sleep with these in a braid as they knot and tangle very easily while you sleep and the knots can be harder than normal hair to get out. If you have very short hair like mine, it can be difficult to hide the clamps. With my hair in particular, I have found it nearly impossible to hide every single clamp. I use root touch up spray and bobby pins to attempt to hide them but it is not always possible. This is something to consider if you have very short hair. Overall, I love the color and feel of these extensions and will likely return to this seller and this brand, just be prepared to show these some extra TLC. ... show more
