As someone who loves trying out new hairstyles and experimenting with different looks, I've always been interested in hair extensions. However, I've also been hesitant to try them out because I didn't want to damage my natural hair or end up with extensions that looked fake or unnatural. I opted for the black color and the 28-inch length, as I wanted something dramatic and attention-grabbing. When the extensions arrived, I was impressed by the quality and craftsmanship. The hair felt soft and silky, and the iTip design looked sturdy and well-made. The black color was rich and vibrant, and I could tell that the extensions would blend seamlessly with my natural hair. One of the best features of these black hair extensions is their length. At 28 inches, they provide plenty of options for styling - I could wear them straight and sleek, curled and bouncy, or braided and intricate. The extensions also added volume and thickness to my hair, which was a nice bonus. I also love that the extensions come in packs of 50g, which allows me to customize the amount of hair I need based on my individual needs. For a full head, I typically use around 150-200g. I appreciate that the seller provided installation instructions as it made the process much easier. However, I highly recommend having a stylist install them as it can be quite tricky to do alone. The itip attachments require beads and tools, which need to be purchased separately, but this is not a big deal. Over the last 15 years I have tried every brand on Amazon from Laavoo, Ugeat, YoungSee, Moreso and more. I also have Bellami, Cashmere, Vario and a few others I purchased direct. What I will say is that Amazon is always by far the cheapest, but it’s hit or miss on quality. I have tried tape, sew ins and iTip/micro link hair extensions. iTip/micro links are by far the best for a natural look and you can treat your hair like your own hair without extensions falling out. Washing your hair is no problem and you can do up-do’s like ponytails. I typically keep them in for about 6 weeks. Main issue is you have to learn how to style your hair so the beads don’t show. Part of the trick is making sure you know what you are doing when you install them. The micro link was a great upgrade to the iTips, since it saved you from having to bead and thread your hair. You can literally part your hair, loop and clamp. With all that being said, here is what I have experienced on these brands on Amazon. I typically weigh a couple extensions when I get them to see if they are even close to 50g and they are usually lighter. Sometimes you get a batch that is close enough so it doesn’t matter. Others times they are half the weight and I send them back. They are always typically an inch or so shorter than the length listed. Plus they are so thin at the ends I would recommended buying a length that you can cut at least an inch or 2 off to get your desired length. That will ensure you have a thicker look at the bottom and not straggly. In my opinion, LaaVoo is more consistent than the other brands on here regarding weight. Where they are worse is their bead quality. Not all beads are made with the same quality material. After a while on your head, the rubber in the bead can turn into a glue like substance. That in turn dries up and can look like dandruff. Again it’s hit or miss on the pack if you get decent beads or not. The only way to pick your own, is to go back to the iTips. I have noticed that the black hair tends to have higher quality beads than the blonde colors (that may just be a fluke). In one picture we got a true brunette color to mix in and the beads were disintegrating after a couple washes. In the end I still primarily buy from Amazon as the price is worth the risk for me. I just return them if they aren’t what they are suppose to be. The actual quality of the hair is pretty close to the more expensive brands when you get the actual weight and you cut off the ends. Picture #1: Is showing how these have held up after 2 installations. Once we install them, I always do a basic trim on the bottom. Then I use a razor to blend layers from the start of the natural hair to the bottom of the extensions. Picture #2: It’s hard to show how bad those beads fell apart after 1 use and how gross they were. We ended up throwing away all of the brown extensions. Picture #3: Picture to show how good the extensions can look! 3 Stars because you would hope you would always get 50g per extension and the right length. However, if you know how to work around the short comings of these brands, you can save some money. Disclaimer: My experience is based upon my own use and putting them in my daughters hair as well. I purchased all hair extensions and was not compensated in any way.

Initially I thought they were ok and optimistic, I had a few issues with the install with beads breaking, but that can happen and is why I purchased multiple packs. The install was easy, so no complaints there, HOWEVER I am not impressed with the quality at this time. I did not install the hair immediately, but after wearing my hair and then doing one wash and following the recommendations of the manufacturer themselves for maintenance for washing and drying the hair did not remain the original texture and silk as it originally came. I have worn extensions for years and know how to maintain hair. I am very meticulous with my hair and wrap my hair with silk bonnets at night, because let's face it ladies, our hair is an investment of our hard earned money and we want to maintain it for as long as possible. Perhaps I just got a bad batch, I don't know, but I was very disappointed and probably would not purchase again. I contemplating contacting the seller, but may just look at a different brand for my next install. If you want something for a few weeks maybe give it a go, but don't have high expectations! UPDATE: After my initial review customer service reached out to me and offered to send me a new pack of hair. I informed them I bought 5 and they said they could only send one. They did however offer the refund me money in the form of an Amazon gift card which I was ok with as I can always use money for other purchases. Their attempt to make things right and give me my money back made my issues with their hair somewhat better. Thanks for your great customer service!
