Initially these seemed too tight in the toe. However, after two weeks climbing via ferattas in the Dolomites and several in the U.S., these have to be the premier VF shoe. For high-level sections where there were no metals rungs or aids, the “climbing zone” in the toe and the Vibram rubber performed brilliantly on natural rock. My local guide was an even bit envious. Smearing, edging, and toe-crimps are hard to believe with what looks to be a stylish tennis shoe. I had so much confidence in my climbing capabilities, I used them to start climbing indoors. Excellent build, but the toe box could be more generous. Even removing the footbed, they are tight unless wearing very sheer socks. Buy a size/half size up!

I usually wear size 9,5. Ordered first pair was a 10 and very small. Decided to give it a try on size 10,5/11 which is 44 and fits perfectly with socks on. Foot feels secured and shoe is comfy. I have Greek feet so it fits good for me but lots of people are complaining about these shoes being too narrow so I would recommend you to keep that in mind before ordering. ... show more

Nice looking shoes, and appear to be well built, however, I wear a 9.5 and because of other reviews, I ordered a 10.5. Would not have mattered if I had ordered a 12, the shoes are so narrow, I can not get my foot in them. I would recommend if you have very narrow feet or maybe a female.

I have plantar fasciitis and these shoes provide excellent support. One thing I really like about these shoes is the tongue is attached on one side so getting these on is much easier than ever. And the look is beautiful. I wear them everyday and just love how they feel.

    • narrow and does not accommodate high arch
I have worn La Sportiva shoes, both approach and climbing since the 1990s. Never had a pair that would not fit until now. The tongue is sewn to the shoe on one side and the shoe is just too small and I ordered a 10.5 USA and normally wear a 10 and it still didn't fit.
