quite frankly this is one of the few products i trust with the full geographical map of my body. face, neck, chest, random dry patch on elbow that appeared after i walked past a radiator too confidently. all of it. my skin has the structural integrity of a frail victorian aristocrat who’s just received troubling correspondence. a strong wind? redness. weather change? devastation. one overly fragranced body wash drifting through the air molecules near me? suddenly my skin barrier is writing its will by candlelight. and this stuff genuinely calms everything down. rich without feeling greasy, deeply moisturising without that weird suffocating film some heavy creams leave behind where you feel like a basted chicken rotating gently under kitchen lights. it just sinks in properly and leaves my skin soft, comfortable and noticeably less dramatic. the niacinamide and shea butter combo in this is genuinely excellent for barrier support. whenever my skin starts acting spiritually exhausted, this is what i reach for first. i’ve used much more expensive creams that performed worse while charging me like they were funding a private moon launch. which is the thing that continues to mildly astonish me. for the quality, this is so affordable. especially because the bottle lasts forever. you need less than you think unless you’re doing what i do and applying it with the emotional urgency of a medieval healer trying to save the kingdom. also crucially: no overpowering fragrance. thank god. i do not want my moisturiser competing with my perfume, my laundry detergent and my nervous system simultaneously. sometimes i just want hydration without being hunted for sport by synthetic peony molecules. my bathroom shelf at this point genuinely looks like a tiny apothecary dedicated exclusively to “preventing my skin from experiencing adversity” and this has earned permanent residency there. if they discontinue it i’ll probably be outside la roche-posay headquarters in a long black veil holding a single unmoisturised hand to the sky. ✨tl;dr✨ sensitive dry skin people… this is the one. rich, soothing, barrier-loving, lasts ages and somehow costs less than half the luxury creams that give you 90ml of disappointment and a tiny spatula.

For very dry, rough, sensitive, or eczema-prone skin, this is generally considered an excellent product. It contains shea butter, niacinamide, ceramides, and humectants that help hydrate and support the skin barrier, and it’s fragrance-free, which reduces the risk of irritation. La Roche-Posay also markets it for very dry and sensitive skin, with a focus on long-lasting hydration and itch relief related to dryness. What I like about it - Rich, long-lasting moisture - Fragrance-free - Contains niacinamide to help calm and support the skin barrier - Works on both face and body for many people - Often recommended for dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin Potential downsides - It is fairly thick and can feel heavy on oily skin. - Some people find it leaves a slight film or shine, especially on the face. - A minority of users report breakouts or irritation, though that’s true of almost any moisturizer. My assessment For someone with dry or sensitive skin, I’d rate it around 9/10. It’s one of the better drugstore moisturizers available and compares favorably with products like CeraVe Moisturizing Cream and Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream.

This has become a staple in my nighttime skincare routine. The lotion is very thick, but a little goes a long way, so one bottle lasts a long time. I apply it to my face before bed, and every morning my skin feels incredibly moisturized, soft, and noticeably plump. Pros: Deeply hydrating, fixes dry skin fast, fragrance-free Cons: Very thick consistency, takes time to rub in My skin has been loving this product! It's super high quality and works wonders for severe dryness and sensitive skin. The only thing to keep in mind is how thick and heavy the formula is. A little bit goes a very long way, so you only need a small drop to cover a large area. If you like light lotions, this might feel too heavy for you. But if you need intense, heavy-duty barrier repair, it’s worth it!

This is the best moisturizer I've used on my skin. I suffer from very dry skin and this has provided such relief. I've used countless body butters, high end ones, too, that are much more expensive than this lotion. Nothing has provided soothing relief for my dry skin like this lotion. Apparently the niacinamides make a huge difference (soothes inflammation, evens skin tone, anti-aging and strengthens the skin's barrier), and this is considered one of the best moisturizers by dermatologists. Do you skin a favor and get this! P.S.: This lotion is unscented so I mix it with a fragranced body lotion after showering for the best of both worlds.

This is a very thick, nourishing lotion. I love that it’s unscented. I took a chance despite worrying about breakouts and began applying it to my face at night. So glad I did! I have 50 year old skin and this product makes it smooth, plump and glowy even without make up on. I’ve been using it on my face for about 2 wks now and haven’t had one breakout or any other type of irritation.
