The elastic waistband stretches for extra room, perfect for tucking your shirt in or carrying concealed. The Rip-Stop fabric is tough, durable, fade-resistant, and has a water and stain-resistant coating. These pants are AWESOME! Before I write my review please take this into consideration, I am a big guy. I am 5'11 and 275lbs. Also, I work construction and fish or shoot in the mountains of Colorado nearly every weekend. I am pretty rough on my gear/clothes almost everyday so I believe I can give you an accurate review. These pants are the best bang for your buck you'll ever find. They are light weight, tough and extremely comfortable. In my opinion they fit better then 511 tactical pants that are WAY more expensive. The stitching is great, the ripstop material is AWESOME, they put extra material in all the right places to allow ball room and plenty of room to move. Plenty of pockets to accommodate me at work with tools as well as out in the field fishing and shooting. Now as far as fit goes. In Carhart, Dickies, Levi, Dockers pants I wear a size 42. This allows me to be comfortable in a relaxed style fit. I bought these in 44 as I use them to conceal carry and wanted more pistol room. They fit perfect, and even without a pistol they fit great. My only recommendation besides buying these, is to buy one size up. Again, don't think twice you will love these pants and won't find anything with this good of quality for this good of a price. ... show more

Love these pants. Look great very comfortable. I wear them every day to work. And bought them for the soul purpose. Of them being water resistant. And dry fast which they have. I would recommend these to anyone. Looking for really made durable. Work pants. I only gave it four stars because I ordered Black. That isn’t what I received. I got dark Blue. But no big deal until my boss says something. We are required to wear black slacks at my job. So you men in blue. I suggest ordering these. I would but more pairs. If the came in tru black. Other than that sturdy. Comfortable. True fit. And very water resistant. And dries fast. Great quality. Just wish for true black. Not dark blue. ... show more

This is a good work pant; durable and suitable for travel & some abuse. I am considering a re-purchase, but the 48% price increase from 26.99 to 39.99 is giving my Scottish genetic tendency towards frugality pause. Oh well, either I got a rock-bottom deal in 2016 or the market is supporting this price. I think I'll hold off for a bit & see. That being said, I've worn this pant trecking the Andes, knocking around in the Amazon jungle and... here it comes... the big test, doing yard and ranch work in South Texas. I've been pretty pleased. They do run a bit large. I'm one of those guys that's constantly between a Size L and a Size M for shirts and pants depending on the manufacturer. I normally wear a W34, but ordered the W36 and glad I did. They fit comfortably with the elastic band giving sufficient flexibility although the W34 is tempting me because I can still stretch out the waist over 2.5 inches using the elastic give. It's pretty comfortable. Easy to wash and wear. Even the Amazonian Jungle women couldn't damage them with their vigorous laundry techniques. ... show more

    • Durable but not comfortable, sheds soil very well

The double knee is too high on the leg, when you kneel down the double knee is barely in contact with the ground. Kind of defeats the purpose of reinforcing the knee if it isn't making contact with the ground. The side cargo pocket is too big and bulky for my needs. The 2 thin phone pockets in front are pointless as far as im concerned, no way I could put anything in there that wouldn't be a risk to stabbing myself in the junk or femoral artery. Crazy. When I bend or kneel the polyester material tends to cling to other cloth that it is in contact with, in my case I wear knee braces and the two do not slide past eachother. So when I need to kneel down, which is often in my job, I have to pull my pant leg away from the knee braces so that I don't get my pants slipping down off my waste. This despite wearing a tight belt. Im 34x32, 5' 11" 195lbs. The fit is good in the waste, the D rings are not helpful, I cut them off because they were too bulky and looked stupid. I also cut off the pull strings at the cuffs. The pant leg cuffs are barely big enough for my taste to fit over my work boot, wish they were wider. Stitching and material is high quality and durable. Im in the dirt all day and this material sheds the mud, soil, oil, sawdust better than any work pants I have had before. The material is cool and light weight, the main reason I bought them. I used to wear a dungaree with cotton/polyester blend because they were so strong and cool for summer work, they went out of production though and these LAPG pants were the best alternative I could come up with. These pants could be improved upon significantly but they have some qualities that can't be found any where else (light, cool, durable, stay clean, fast drying). ... show more
