Edit....as I was made aware that these candles Use soy wax and natural oils they are slightly less fragrant than other stronger candles. This candle is deluxe worth the price and makes an amazing gift everytime. The packaging is great, smell lasts a long time and very fresh. I reordered plumeria twice already after receiving it as a Christmas gift and have gave it away as birthday present. It’s 10/10 recommended from me.

    • Most heavility scented candle I've ever smelled - unfortunately returned.

I liked the scent, but it was way overpowering. I've purchases some relatively expensive candles and this is by far the most strong. It could be good if you have a VERY large space to fill, but was a bit like standing directly where somebody was spraying canned air freshener. It was well packaged and would be a good gift if you know the person likes heavy scents. I didn't think it really smelled like plumeria. More like tropical soap. I burned it for one hour. After about 20 minutes I could not stand it in the large room (open door) I was in any longer but the instructions say to burn for at least an hour. I took it to our living room/kitchen/study area. After the 40 remaining minutes, the entire room was heavy with the scent but it was still too much for me. ... show more

It's a very nice looking candle and burns evenly, but compared to other La Jolie Muse candles I've bought it smells very artificial and a bit cloying -- kind of like a "Hawaiian" air freshener.
