I got these specifically for hiking in an area that can get pretty wet occasionally. I've worn them for a few hours on a short walk and around the house just to see if they're comfortable enough to take on my trip. So far so good, but I'm skeptical they'll hold up to a lot of use. The image I attached shows my toes flexed up, and that crease in the shoe looks like a weak point to me. I can see that spot easily pulling apart and creating a nice little hole. It hasn't happened yet, but I'm sure it will. That being said, I'll keep them and give them a shot on my trip. I'm used to barefoot shoes by now so there's not much adjusting I need to do to get my feet acclimated. I got them wet to see how long they stay wet. I've had better water shoes, but these are certainly better than regular sneakers. A decent middle-ground I'd say. They are definitely comfortable, I'm just trying to decide if I want socks or no socks. Without is comfortable enough but I'm not used to my feet being uncovered.... They're breathable so I think without socks will probably be okay. We'll see. I'll update this if my shoes end up splitting in that spot. It's September 2023 as I am writing this now. This is my second pair of the shoes because I like them sooooo much for training in the gym. I’ve tried several other barefoot shoes for gym use and these win every time. Pros: ground feel, grip and fit are amazing Fit is true to size, wide variety of colors, durability seems to be good for gym use. Cons: laces need to be trimmed for my correct fit, the are very soft and flexible so wearing them out on concrete may wear out fast but that’s why they are fantastic in the gym. I love these shoes. They are easy to slip on, comfortable to wear all day and have helped my feet. I work on my feet all day and used to wear expensive Brooks running shoes. By the time I got home, my feet would be so sore I couldn't wait to get them off. These barefoot shoes are so comfortable and allow my feet to feel the ground and walk properly, that sometimes I forget to take them off when I get home. I've hiked in them and they were great. No twisting my ankles like I do in regular hiking shoes or boots. They are easy to wash,and dry quickly if they get wet. I've had several, and they are never comfortable but these are awesome. I love them so much that I want a second pair just because. I love that the toe box is wide so when you walk through water your toes are not getting scrunched up from walking through rocks.
