I bought this for my birthday. It came quick and I have spent about five or six total hours playing it, and I think its a wonderful instrument. It sounds perfect for just about every style. It sounds great finger picked or plucked with a pick, and its just about perfect for home recording. And lastly, its super attractive in person. PROS -Extremely Light-weight -The action was perfect out of the box, good sustain -The stock strings were surprisingly very good -The humbuckers and EQ sound perfect for my tastes, I won't upgrade them -The neck is fast yet thick and the fretboard wide, favoring both fast slides and arpeggios, 22 frets -Decent tuning stability -Beautiful, maybe negligibly flawed, matte finish, with a body that is practical and comfortable despite its stylized shape CONS -Possible neck dives because of the light body vs the relatively long and thick neck -The extended scale needs some getting used to, which means that it will require the player to extend the fretting arm out further in almost every position, but tall players may not care or notice -While versatile and great sounding, passive humbuckers wont replace the sound of single coils or active electronics with 5 EQ knobs, make sure its the tool you need It was packaged nicely and delivered about three days ahead of schedule. All considered, it cost me just about under $100. I think its a perfect deal and would have no hesitation about buying it. Worst case scenario, you'll have a cheap platform to upgrade or even give away to someone who'd value it.

The media could not be loaded. Got this bass so I could start jamming with the band until I can afford something else and I am amazed that it sounds this good. It's not a pro bass by any means but for a beginner to intermediate player it does the job well. Played pretty well out of the box but after doing a few tweaks (truss rod adjustment, intonation etc.) and some DR red devil strings this thing sounds amazing! The matte black finish is very nice also. I would definitely recommend this bass to anyone who is starting out or just wants a decent bass to practice on.

China has really improved on there guitars and basses! this bass is awesome. it plays perfect. i will be changing the pickups soon, there pickups are really good sounding so it is just my preference. this bass looks just like tom arayas bass guitar from slayer. his is a REAL ESP . this bass is not that much different from toms! for a fraction of the price.

I'm posting this months after my purchase and I'm still very satisfied with the bass. This is a cheap bass, but its really good for the money. I have other bass guitars from name brands but I enjoy playing this one. If you're looking for something to get started with or just think its cool looking and want to add it to your collection, its well worth the $. I have no complaints about this bass and think its a good deal.
