This birthstone crown of thorns necklace is really lovely. It really goes well with the citrine stone. The way the chain is connected to the main charm is very sturdy. I would say the chain is on the delicate side, so it does make me a bit nervous about it getting caught on something or tangled up. I do wish it were also a bit longer, but neither of these reasons made me knock down a star. I do feel that it might be a tad bit over priced at about $85, considering it's man made and gold plated. That being said, the craftmanship is there in the charm, so you win some, you still kinda win some.

This is a very nice necklace. The pendant is very pretty. Its about the size of the tip of my finger. The overall, package and presentation are very good. This is one of those gift ready pieces of jewelry that you would take pride in giving. The chain and pendant are gold plate sterling silver. The chain tag is marked 925. However, ther are no markings on the pendant. No matter what birth stone you choose, they all look good, garnet and ruby, especially! The chain is pretty danty, and both ends are attached to the heart pendant with little jump rings. As long as you wear it leisurely, you should be fine. It is light enough though were you probably wouldn't notice it missing until its too late. (Just a caution) However, I did do a magnetic test on the pendant and something is magnetic on the pendant, as well. Possibly the chain rings that connect the pendant. It does have the extension chain on it, for extended length. It does have a lobster claw clasp. This is my favorite type of clasp. However, the lobster is magnetic, so it us definitely not silver. For just being sterling silver, its a little above the market price. If you are looking at the beauty value and have a thing for gold plated silver, then this is priceless.

I'm not one that usually likes gold jewelry but it goes so well with the peridot birthstone gem. This necklace arrives very secure, there is an outer slide out box, inside you find another box and a cotton drawstring storage bag. Then the second box opens up with the necklace inside of two vinyl pouches sitting on top of a velvet insert so you can affix the necklace for gift giving. The necklace itself really has a great sparkle with all of the cz gems surrounding the main larger peridot stone in the heart shape. The chain provided is long enough to place perfectly on the neckline. This would make a great gift for a birthday, anniversary or Christmas.

This Crown of Thorns Birthstone Necklace is made from sterling silver with gold plating. It also has tiny clear stones around the edges and the center stone is manmade. The pendant itself is fixed on the chain and doesn’t move or slide around. The chain is dainty, lightweight, and has an extender with a lobster clasp, making it a bit more comfortable and secure. It doesn’t twist around and lays flat when worn, but I don’t suggest falling asleep with this on, because it looks too delicate to do so without risk of damaging it. It comes ready for gift presentation with a thick sturdy box, a small polishing cloth and a small bag that cinches. I picked out my birthstone, Aquamarine, and it is more of a blue shade that would be found between Blue Topaz and Aquamarine instead of a true aqua colored stone. Both the stone and the crowned heart around it have quite a bit of sparkle and catch the light nicely. It is a beautiful piece of jewelry that would pass as gold to the untrained eye. I would not recommend this as an every day wear item because it looks and feels too delicate. The price point online is a bit high and I feel like you could find something of the same quality from somewhere like Kohl’s but with an additional 25% or 30% off. The necklace is beautiful but somewhat overpriced and a lower price point for the quality and material would be more fair.

Oh my goodness! This couldn't be any more gorgeous. The chain is so petite but sturdy. I love how it attaches to the sides of the hear the way it does. This heart of thorns is such a beautiful representation of one's faith. The heart pendant sits right at the collarbone. Words really can't express just how beautiful this necklace actually is. It has a good weight to it and feels very high quality. I will absolutely be getting another one for a Christmas gift. I absolutely recommend this!
