This is a small 18 inch bat you might use for self defense. You cant actually play baseball with this. Its lightweight and would work well as a weapon. Fortunately I haven't had to use it for that but I'm sure it would work fine. I hung it near my entryway on a coat rack just in case. Its small enough it could go under a car seat too. Don't let the pics of a baseball player nor my title fool you. This little bat is a self defense item. Coming in at about 18" it really isn't good for much of anything short of wearing someone out by thumping them as hard and fast as you can. The bat is REALLY light. I have a wooden version of similar size and intended use and it weighs at least 3 times as much. This bat probably has some crazy thin walls, and I don't expect the aluminum to hold up to hitting anything solid. So please don't use it for popping dingers to tee ball players. Its not even going to hold up for that. However...what that means is that if you are using this as a self defense item it's actually a good thing. For one, you can get a lot of hard strikes on target in short order. The 18" length gives you some reach and weight allows you to attach multiple spots. Also, being that it's so lightweight, it's probably going to be less lethal. Please keep in mind, if you hit anyone in the head with ANYTHING it can be lethal or at least so perminate damage. That's not always what you want. This little bat would allow you drive off an attacker without being as likely to break bones or cause brain injury. I'm knocking off a star because not only is this REALLY lightweight (thus probably a bit fragile), mine also arrive scratched up. ... show more

I got this for self-protection when camping in my truck. It is lightweight and compact but can still pack a wallop if needed. It is well-made and provides some peace of mind.

This thing is great. Let's get one thing out of the way, this thing is for thumpin' tires and thumpin' heads. Not for baseball. It's 18 inches long, and has a pretty nice grip for a whoopin' stick. The sticker on the package says self defense. It even has a rope so you don't lose it while you're doing whatever you're doing with this. This can easily fit under the seat of the car or concealed in a mans jacket sleeve. It really is the perfect size to swing with velocity with very little effort. Recommended for late night walks, bad neighborhoods, and strangers at the door. Keep one handy, you never know. The KRUI logo isn't on very well, but you aren't buying it for the logo are you?
