I live in Florida but prefer a down comforter on my bed. I hate scratchy fuzzy blankets, chenille, all that Florida stuff. I can’t sleep in just sheets. This down blanket is the perfect all season weight and warmth for my air conditioned bedroom and will also be perfect in the coming “cold” months when I don’t turn on the heat (hate indoor heating - so stuffy and dry). I especially like the cover material, which has a soft hand but is crispy, which I love, like cotton sheets that have been ironed. I completely adore hearing and feeling it - so clean and luxurious (I dislike those bamboo or cotton ones that have no stiffness or crinkle and feel like a ratty t-shirt, even though most people prefer them). I looked at so so many, reading all the reviews when looking for a replacement for my 7 year old favorite comforter — and the complaints about the crackly fabric cover convinced me this was the one for me! Exactly what I wanted. So thanks crinkly cover haters for pointing the way for me! The black stripe edge all the way around is elegant - I like it more than I thought I would, a definite decor upgrade. No pokey pointy feathers sticking me (so the fill is good quality, no quacking) and the boxes are not too big - well sewn, and of reasonable midsize, to help keep the fill properly spread out within each box, not act like a series of painful baseballs of stuffing. No smell to it - maybe just normal clean sheets smell, no chemical or animal or perfume scent at all. Took it out, waved it around and shook it to plump a little, and it’s perfect. Haven’t had it long enough to comment on “durability,” but I don’t expect it to get a rough workout either - no bros or brats to bring food, dirt, sweat, or any other sticky stuff to bed. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat.

I am EXTREMELY happy with my comforter. I wanted a poofy comforter and thats what I got!!! I ordered dark grey WINTER. I can only guess that people ordered the "all weather", thinking it was the winter one, and thats why they are complaining about how its not really filled. MINE IS FILLED FILLED! Removing it from the bag it had zero odor, like nothing, and I sniffed it like crazy because all of the reviews i saw where they said it stunk. I took it out of the bag and laid it on the couch, allowing it to poof for a full 24 hours, and it POOFED! Its hard to measure how poofy, I would say 4-5" at least. If you put your hand on either side of the comforter and squish as hard as you can, there is so much stuffing in each square that it remains between your hands, even when you shift a lot of the filling. I have wanted a down comforter FOREVER, and looked for days and days, read so so many reviews... I was still nervous. When I opened the comforter I was happy with how puffed out it was and knew it was only going to get better! My husband and I have always had down alternative super flat cheap comforters, this was my birthday gift this year. And when I tell you I shopped around, I SHOPPED AROUND. I am the most indecisive person in the world and finally settled on this one. As stated I have never had a real down comforter before, but my family does....They have the 400-500$ comforters and this one is poofier! Now for the down and gritty... 1. reviews claim its like sleeping with a tarp, or its loud .... it is louder than a cheap down alternative comforter...IT HAS TO BE, BECAUSE ITS THICKER MATERIAL TO KEEP THE FEATHERS FROM JABBING YOU. it was in NO WAY extremely loud at all! I put a super soft cotton duvet cover on it immediately, but yes, there is a slight ruffle sound when you move around. I can only assume anyone who said it was like having a tarp on, didnt put a duvet cover on it....this is a insert, not a comforter, you are not meant to sleep with it straight on your skin. I actually got a great, well made duvet cover for 25$ on amazon. 2. Reviews claim feathers are falling out or jabbing them. Included in this review are pictures of the stitching, which is well done. Maybe someone got a really sharp feather, because for the life of me, I can't see how a feather would pierce this thick material. 3. Reviews claim its too small. With my cheap, down alternative comforter, I literally had to go buy another blanket (I got a pretty quilt 😁 ) because my husband stole all the covers. Since buying this new comforter, I havent had to use that extra blanket at all, because there is plenty of blanket to cover both of us.....and the two large pitbulls that sleep between us 🤣 our bed is King size obviously 🤣 4. Reviews say washing it ruined it. As a person who has never had a real down comforter, the very first thing I learned when shopping around was "YOU DRY CLEAN ONLY." Honestly, this thing is so poofy, I doubt it would even fit in my large capacity washer. Also as mentioned, it has a duvet cover on it, soooo I will wash the duvet cover frequently (see above where I said 2 large pit bulls sleep in the bed 🤣 ) but I doubt the insert will be DRY CLEANED more than once a year. SIDE NOTE it does have the ties that connect the insert to the duvet cover, and its super simple to do. Just pay attention and don't get to the end realizing you put it in the duvet cover upside down ..... like me 🤣 Now, for the honesty part. For my part, I purposefully bought the Winter because I wanted the poof, in South Texas no less 🤣. My husband already sleeps hot, and said today as a matter of fact, that its just too hot when its 70 outside ... like duh 🤣. We had a few days where we were in the 40's and 50's and it was GREAT! (one day someone will maybe explain why your central air-conditioning can be set to 70 in the summer, and your hot still. But 70 in the winter and you are freezing 🤣 ) side note, he also won't take out the thin blanket under the comforter and see if that is less hot. 🤣 men, gotta love them. He wants the cheap junk down alternative back for the hot nights, but I already gave it to the dogs 🤣🤣 So I am now ordering this exact blanket in "all weather" dark grey again. I expect this blanket to be around for many years and dont want to risk white discoloring from wear and tear. The winter one will be put in the closet for the cold nights, bonus it came with a storage bag just for this! No, I wasnt paid to write this, nor do I get any kind of discount on a future blanket. I really am just that happy! Going from a 30$ cheap, throw away down alternative to a 120$ real comforter that has some, not many, but some bad reviews, stressed me out a litte bit 🤣. So did the thought that I may buy the comforter of my dreams and still have to cover up with a quilt because of mr. blanket hog....so Happy I dont! When you climb into bed and your comforter is so soft and fluffy you exhale in comfort, its a great feeling.... like being surrounded by a cloud. Pitbull recommend for bed hopping like a bunny in clouds ...seriously, they now think its a game we play while I squawk at them to stop pouncing on my fluffy blanket! 🤣

You're getting genuine quality here. This duvet is lovely and perfect for summer. As a hot sleeper, finding this duvet has been a blessing! The cotton fabric is very soft and feels great on my skin. I love duvets that I don't have to cover. The squares do have some light loft. It looks good overall, but I did notice some squares not being quite as filled as the others. It was nothing dramatic enough for most people to notice, just my attention to detail. The feather/down fill is super soft and feels fluffy even at this very light fill weight. It looks thin at first , but it quickly gets better after shaking and 10 min in the dryer on low. It feels fluffy and luxurious when I crawl into bed. I'm sure it'll be even better after a wash. The construction is solid and I will feel comfortable washing it at home. It has four corner loops and four side loops for using a duvet cover. It came in a nice box with a storage bag - this would make such a nice gift for a special occasion! I'm so happy with this duvet. I would recommend this brand and would purchase again.
