I am an adult, beginner bowler. I have work related issues with my hand and wrist so I am using a light ball until I build up more strength/get used to the hand and wrist motion. This ball is accurate in color and style to the pictures. It actually has a little bit of sparkle too, which I love. I had the ball drilled at my local shop without issue. This is definitely a straight/spare bowing ball. There is no hook and it is not designed for a hook. It’s a great beginner ball (probably more so for kids or people like me with bad hands). I bought this for my husband for an anniversary gift. He took it and had it drilled and loves it. He said that you usually can't bowl a good game with a brand new ball but he hit his average the first time. It was a good price and I think it is beautiful.

Did my homework before this purchase, tried an 8-pounder, just right for me; polyester coverstock, not drilled because my hands are arthritic, need customization like roomier holes for easy release.
