The cover is soft, not too thick so it’s perfect for spring/summer, and feels very durable. The ties on the cover keep the duvet nice and centered without pulling weird like one with just the corner ties. The fabric has some silky qualities being that it’s smooth and a little on the shinny side, as opposed to matte. I didn’t love the first color I ordered (my mistake) and the company reached out to me immediately and helped me get exactly what I wanted. This comforter is beautiful and the ties and zipper are of high quality. I bought a super King and the duvet comforter fits perfectly inside. My only complaint is that it's very difficult to fluff in the dryer. I have a super size dryer bit the comforter just seems to roll up in a ball (none of my other bedding does this). It was hard to dry and it is definitely full of wrinkles. ... show more

It’s really not as soft to the touch as I was hoping, but that’s fair for the price of it. I’m also ultra sensitive to “roughness” or texture in fabrics, so I’m sure for any normal person this will feel very soft! I also found that moving at night, the zipper pulls made some noise, which might not be an issue if the fold of fabric covering the zipper was laying more flat. Next time I will have to pull this from the dryer quickly and stretch it out more to get it to lay right (I am not a domesticated housewife so I don’t iron and starch is poison to my skin). I’ll still give 5 stars, though. Even a little wrinkled from being left in the dryer over night (it took longer to dry than I accounted for so I went to sleep!) it’s quite pretty on our new bed! The white is a true clean crisp white. The zipper is at the top/bottom (where the tag is in my picture) for a regular king size bed. For cal king it might wind up being on the side so you might have to pick who gets to have the zipper rattle on their side at night. The zipper itself is pretty heavy duty, more like for a coat than what I usually see on more expensive duvet covers with their tiny zippers, and has 2 pulls. It was fun meeting my partner in the middle when we were putting this over the insert. I do not think as a short person with minor disabilities that I could put this cover on by myself without a lot of effort, but this is also my first crack at a king size bed and accoutrement and I suspect that dressing this bed is just going to be a two-person job, ever after. It is very fun shaking the cover while gripping the corners of the insert at the head and foot of the bed to try and get it centered, so I don’t mind that. First they sent me a wrong product, 600 Thread count. I've immediately asked for replacement, then they gave me this 1000 Thread count. Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with the quality, it doesn't feel like 1000 thread count. It's a shame I paid a lot and didn't have my money's worth.

This is a lovely duvet/cover. It is very soft and of fine cotton. The only thing is the color is not the same color as the one online. Now, I know that really can't be helped but I was trying to find a color like deep mauve I see on your site. I am going to keep it however because it is very nice and looks good with my color scheme.
